The pickup behind the bridge is a rad idea. I built a Cigar Box Guitar a while ago. Sounds awesomely crap when plinking around on the strings behind the bridge for horrible percussive noises. I used a $3 transducer pickup but a proper coil wound one would sound graet down there.
