all actually encountered:

"you only really need one guitar."

"i want to sing" (ALWAYS from band member who can't carry a tune in a bucket and/or sing in time)

"i can play bass" (ALWAYS from guitarist who's never played bass and makes Noel Redding sound like Stanley fucking Clarke)

"play the blues."

"why do you have so many fuzz boxes?"

"(a Rickenbacker copy) isn't a guitar that you can be proud of."

"an entry-level acoustic guitar costs around $1,200."

Yeah, I got the same thing.
"I don't like distorted bass."

"We have to change the name of our song because its going to be a single and people are going to google it."

In all honesty, I try to get my bassist to simplify song titles sometimes just so that I can keep them straight.

"Ok, now lets work on Mr. Smith Goes Up Your Mom's Anus and Charters a Rocketship to Istanbul."
"Uhhhhh, which song is that, again? The one that goes, duh duduh duuuuh or du diduh diduh duh?"

 We have fun.

it made for a good laugh at the christmas party this year

i was like bruv trust me there will be no difference... because once im done with it the entire thing wont sound like this....

I go to community college and took MIDI 2 in the same room with MIDI 1 students this year. Every single kid was making dub step. Some guy started yell-talking to the teacher about how easily his keyboard "gets wubs". I heard him through my headphones. Also some kid was mixing some horrible vocal and listening to it over and over and I guess his headphones weren't over the ear because everyone heard it including me across the room, once again through my headphones. I'm really glad I don't have to be in a computer lab situation with music students again
