If I may be so bold, I believe it was a couple pages back.
I like Soundgarden, Slash, Deftones, STP, Incubus, Clutch, A whole world of old punk. I love Bow Wow Wow - the one with Annabella Lwin. Blondie, 45 Grave. I love Neo-Soul like Erykah Badu, Teedra Moses, Lizz Fields, Lucy Pearl.
I'm not all hate.
I just hate the insipid, I spit it out, (and I ain't even God doh).

U2 should've broken up and got back together. That way we'd have a clear definition between their good stuff and bad stuff.
The guys were playing post-punk practically earlier than anybody. You gotta give them some props for that.

Joshua Tree has some awesome production.
Sunday Bloody Sunday is a phenomenal song.
The rest of their stuff is shit.

I posted right before that last post, but it never showed up. i said that i'd reconsidered my position on the negative-comments-about-bands thing after seeing Kings of Leon on Palladia.

Well if you meet The Edge, what do you say, Excuse me Mr Edge? Or Hey The, you rawk. You meet Bono, what do you say, I bet you cross the street first before he gets to you.
I met and talked to George Harrison once for about a half an hour. It was easy as could be. I mean fuck those poseurs. Real rock stars aren't a sort of battle dress and pompous attitude.

And also, The Teardrop Explodes did it earlier, and better.

Well, one of my all time favorite bands is Pink Floyd who are notorious for being stuffy douchebags. How bands act doesn't affect whether or not I like their music at all.

if i had to base my listening on whether musicians were likeable, i probably wouldn't have anything to listen to at all. to be successful in the music business you pretty much have to be a self-absorbed shithead who'll discard anything/anyone who might keep you from doing what you want.

Well that's all certainly true. I mean if people knew Danzig was gay and short with a Napoleon complex it wouldn't make much difference.

never give up on music Bra.
I went through a couple years a long time ago tuned into ambient and liked Seefeel, and United States of Ambience stuff. That lead to Thievery Corp which led to Bossa Nova. I love black girls. I love their voices as much - not everybody, but that led to Jazz and Nusoul.
I got tired of the LA punk scene just about when it died in 1983, after the CircleJerks took off on bus trips to spread the punk message.
I still love some punks though. My friends are all dead, but some people still alive are Rikk Agnew, the Adolescence gang, 45 Gravers like Mary Simms, Alicia Velasquez (Alice Bag). Jeeze, last year Blondie threw a free show here in the Big Easy.
Music still rocks. I liked hard rock. Alice in Chains, shwew, I got so high to them some times.
I had to give up the doping. I am totally straight now. 50. Need to preserve what little I got left.
Thanks for your comments.
