This one had no association with The Brocolis.

The plot was very thin. No Earth shattering revelations.
No amazing girls.

Was pretty boring.

Long.

No tremendous action sequences.

The one and only action sequence was stagey and rang stupid.

Sam Mendes is probably my least favorite modern-day director.

I enjoyed Skyfall in spite of him. Not as good as Casino, Way better than Quantum.

Gun to the head rating: 3 stars out of 4.

Just saw it. Enjoyed it quite a bit, despite a few problems - some duff dialogue, meh-ish action and underwhelming final showdown. Still, a high quality film and thankfully no fucking shakycam like the last one.

Great final few minutes though, end sequence in the office was fantastic.

Yes it did. It was produced by Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson, as usual.

imo, it didn't really need any "really big" setpieces and the underplayed tone suited it, imo

I just got back, saw it with my Dad. I really liked, i'm enjoying the relatively low-tech action films the last few films. The same reason why I actually liked season 3-5 of Dexter because you can keep to a safe formula - but there isn't any character development or personal adaption.

I laughed at the 'hacking scenes' because they make no sense at all. FIREWALLS!!

But everything else was pretty cool.
