i think you should wait a few weeks and then talk to her again, give it time to settle, I think that's the best thing to do. Also I agree with what Jwar said earlier, you're an awesome bass player and your drummer is awesome too, you could easily pick up a new member or two and be better than you were before. What's done is done you can't go back and change anything and neither can she, now you basically have to do damage control.

yah. thanks for the ups. my drummer IS good. i'm just gimmicky.
(i'm also fucking HORRIBLE at compliments)
but for sure. except for the contacting her again. i have no hard feelings towards her, but she's made it pretty clear she wants nothing to do with us. i think that's probably for the best for everybody concerned.
we're pretty positive about it. having fun going wackier with the instrumental stuff. i'm trying to do a little keys while i play bass (lol. i have even LESS skeelz at keys. it's.... interesting.), we're looking forward to doing a MUCH more in depth interview process and finding somebody that looks a good fit. it was rough for a hinute, but talking to y'all and a good nights sleep or two has cleaned up my outlook CONSIDERABLY.

I would like to say that -0behn desu0- has never been anything but positive about this and no bad words can be said about him or what he posted on this here ILF concerning the issue of the thread in-which we are currently commenting on...

This all sounds like an excuse to be even sloppier in your playing. Does Guinness keep track of that? You could be in their book and get FAMOUS.

Think that'll help? The first few months with this girl you were happier than a tranny post op. Besides, the only thing you need to ask any potential (band) mates is their opinion on reverb.

shiiiiiiiiit. i do NOT need an excuse to be sloppy. but it is kinda awesome to not have to worry about going out of key with anybody. I MEANT TO DO THAT NOT IN ANY SCALE KNOWN TO MAN PROGRESSION. I AM THE EMBODIMENT OF WHAT JAZZ SHOULD BE.
shuddup. i have high hopes for the next one. there's a few people we're going to check out that have been vetted by other musician'y buds. STOP RUINING MY HOPES HAKI.

i might shoot myself in the face if that happens.

The cool thing about this whole situation is that you and Paul got out there and played a few gigs with Scarlett (poster child of histrionic disorder). So that should make it like 50Xs easier to audition and find interested people.

yah. we have songs enough to keep gigging and all..... i'm putting up a CL ad (fuck) this weekend. hopefully we'll find someone through friends though. seems SAFER.
urrr..... i have two of the songs we wrote in the last few days recorded, but i kinda don't want to share. they're sloppy 'cause they were Let's Not Forget Parts/Structure quick'uns with one room mic. lol. and FUCK. his drums are LOUD.

Yeah. We've got a bunch of those types of recordings. Shit the band needs to listen to so we can figure out where to go....but I would never let anyone listen to them.
Had you asked us how many song ideas we had going, I would have told you we had two mostly written and six started......the singer and I sat down and organized everything yesterday and found out we have two mostly written and 14 started. Holy fuck. So we've decided to really just sit down and finish things up before we did some more freestyle jamming. Getting organized should help the practices go. Shameless plug for Jet Jaguar (link below me).

I LIKE hearing your stuff, especially the sloppy badly recorded versions. I can pinky swear not to say anything about them if that's what it takes.

Sex Accident is one pretty fucking solid piece. I like that one a lot. Hell yeah. I mean. It's all good. But that one sounds CD ready, already. I know it needs vox and stuff. But it sounds great, right there.
