fuck
it sounds so good
picks up voices now from across the room
and the snare drum with reverse delay
its crazy
i know peeps who spend crazy $$$ on pickups may thinkthis is lame
and im super jealous of those crazy $$$ pups
but i dont think i coulda bought this sound
with the kinda fucked up noise i play
hearin the pick scrape across these things is bone rattling
and i dont know if its bad wiring on my part
but there is a bit of vibration going on,like light very fast pulsing
im psyched as fuck
im officially not embarrassed of my gear no more

I had an Epi G-310 and I kicked it across a room, broke some shit, then lost it in a move. Hella custom.

Just picked up this unbranded 70s Lawsuit SG. Stuck my warpig in the bridge, I think the neck is some tonerider pup. Fret are pretty low, still tweaking the setup, has been repaired around the input.
I'm probably going to move the strap peg to the tip of the horn Iommi styles.

People say its not such a good one, but NOTHING looks more right on a SG than Maestro/vibrola.

A Maestro does only a little wiggling. You won't get Floyd Rose bombs, but that's why you're not carving out shit for a Floyd Rose (and they suck, trust me.) it's not a Jazzy term, in that I imagine you probably won't get longer bends; the Maestro by contrast seems better for really fast wiggling ala Jeff Tweedy in Wilco.

You could always put a Bigsby on there. I have a 60's plywood SG-knockoff with a fake Bigsby and it is the bee's knees.

(I'll find a picture of said knockoff guitar to post in this thread later.)

please do
i like the look of a b7
and those deusen-whatevers are pretty slick
ive tried the maestro and i was hohum about it
im more comfy with a more substantial arm
the teisco had a huge spring but you couldnt slack the strings
thats what im lookin for
im not to worried about stayin in tune
im half deaf and my skill level is questionable
a little flat every now and then aint gonna make muchdifference
but i agree, nay on the floyd rose

-Put in a brass nut
-Change out the electronics to 500K volume/tone
-Put in a 57 classic+ at the bridge/P94R in the neck

Result?

Very versatile and tone monster.

It takes 11's and 12's like a champ, but I had a luthier cut the nut for me on that one. It has kind of a cool open sound that can be harsh though depending on your set-up.

I would stick with the bone for now, that's the safest bet.
