Nice. They take care of their peeps.
I once asked for 4 patch cords and they threw in 6. Awesome.

They will give you a deal anytime if you can get ahold of them just ask for the 'prymaxe price' and you'll get some amount off.
I prefer progutiarshop myself, I think they run a smoother operation, and many times only one will carry a particular item, or have it in stock. My last experience with prymaxe they didn't respond to my e-mail or phone message.

OK I have to write right now that I've purchase a ton of shit from Prymaxe and it has all been very professional, and very high quality.
Recently I purchased my third B7K from them. I paid them 330 bucks for this pedal. Not cheap. It arrived in a cheap little fucking Priority envelope, not even a box. The corners of the Darkglass box were all smashed to hell, and the rubber feet were already on the pedal (which I pretty sure means they sent me a returned pedal). Not a huge deal about the Darkglass box, but it's the principal. I'm pretty fucking dissatisfied right now. I e-mailed them yesterday to let them know how I'm not happy as well. Haven't heard back, but I have received their latest offers e-mails. So that kind of pisses me off.
I get you have lot of order to fulfill, but put my fucking expensive pedal in a box. USPS gives them out for free. It's not like it cost them anything. Really pissed about this. Probably more than I should be, but if they don't respond soon, I'm probably not going to purchase from them anymore. I'd rather pay full price than receive what I consider shitty service.

It also pisses me off that I'm the one that started this thread and now I'm mad at them. lol

I've gotten my past couple pedals from them in a slip cover thing. But everything was fine. The envelope cover was filled with bubblewrap with the box inside. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I don't think you can reuse those envelope things.

Maybe yours received some particularly nasty abuse by a mail carrier

And I could totally see that, but I'd prefer my pedal be protected by a box. They normally ship everything I buy in a Priority box. Maybe I'll have to specify with them. It just irritates me.

I really don't like Prymaxe... at all. There are two members on here that have worked for them, and they don't have friendly words about the owner. They also run a 15 percent off sale constantly which cuts into builders' profits. And yeah, thats great for customers, but not great for Tom, Ryan, Aen... You know, builders that rely on their business for a living, feed their kids, etc. Its a pretty bullshit operation if you ask me. And the dude who plays in most of their demos now plays like an emotionless robot. Thats honestly my problem for not liking his playing style, but fuck, its so accurate and precise and clean it just annoys the hell out of me.

And when its like memorial day, or christmas or something, they're like, "HEY ITS A HOLIDAY SO HOW ABOUT -SIXTEEN- PERCENT OFF."
Fuck off Prymaxe. Honestly, I've heard so much shit about the owner that if he got an account on here, I would ban hammer him immediately.

My local guitar center had a good deal on an ehx smmh ($155 new), but they were sold out. They offered to ship one to me from another store 50 miles away for free, so I agreed. The doofuses shipped me the pedal in the pedal's
own box, so it naturally arrived banged up and covered in postage labels and packing tape

Not to argue with you PumpkinPieces, but how does Prymaxe having a 15% off sale cut into their builder's profits? AFAIK they buy from the builders at whatever price the builder sets. If Prymaxe want to charge 15% less than they "normally" would, surely that only hurts Prymaxe?
I quite like them, especially since I live in Australia where everything is costed ridiculously.. I'm talking $420 for a Carbon Copy ridiculous. $1300 for a Hot Rod Deluxe ridiculous.
Prymaxe usually works out to be the cheapest (with that 15-16% off) and their shipping is the best/cheapest of anywhere (at least to here). Some companies are a JOKE re shipping. $50 for one pedal? Get stuffed.
I've had a couple of issues way, way back with Prymaxe sending the wrong item but they've always dealt with it quickly and professionally. I also have a ton of those tiny cheap black patch cables now.

Yeah, pretty much agree with Yallerhon. Not that I'm particularly loyal or anything, I'm just used to them and they haven't mistreated me yet. I think I mostly started buying from them because I used to like the guy that did their demos until they swapped him out with captain-noodle-can't-demo-fuzz-to-save-his-life.

I'm not saying I hate Prymaxe, I'm just very dissatisfied right now. I want them to apologize for shipping my expensive fucking pedal in a little shitty envelope. That's it. If they apologize, then I'll be a happy camper again. Every other transaction I've had through them has been professional, fast and down right perfect.
The reason I'm pissed about the box in general is because if I ever decide to re-sell this (which everyone knows I'm the king of flip up in here), someone could potentially be upset with me about the stupid box. People are weird about that shit.
So yea. Hopefully they reply and say "our bad dude, we'll do better next time".

assume the builder also sells direct. the builder gets 100% on direct sales, but only ~60% msrp on dealer sales. if Prymaxe always costs 15% less than the builder, no one is going to order direct.
yallerhon wrote:$50 for one pedal? Get stuffed.
not saying it's worth paying that much, but that's pretty much what it costs for international priority shipping. I sold an el capistan on here and it cost over $40 to send it to ireland. no way I would do that for a cheaper pedal.
did the dimensions of the flat rate priority boxes change? I'm looking at the USPS site now and the small box is only 1.75 inches deep.
