Gearmond wrote:personally i'd argue that at least idolizing Andy is healthier than idolizing generic shredder guy. because
1. appropriately varied playing for the pedal
2. plays the pedal for the pedal
3. doesn't try and be a character (haters gonna hate but this applies more to GMD than it does FBG)
4. doesn't seem to have a bias for certain effects against others (GMD's bullshit bias against reverb and inability to play anything but dirt)
5. its a level of appreciation for craft that is more difficult to devolve into corksniffery than guitar or amp demoing
complaining about shoes is dumb as hell. i got nice lookin feet. you gonna see nice lookin feed in my vids. deal with it.
as long as you:
-show what the pedal can do effectively
-play towards the pedal's abilities/strengths
-have adequate recording quality
-let the pedal speak and not yourself
your demo is fine.
Wow, Gearmond, well said. I think this about sums it up. (Though I do sometimes find GMD entertaining.)
I'd also add that the demo should show the pedal's weaknesses (, but that's not gonna happen in the case of retailer and/or builder demos because they're basically ads).

This should be the ultimate point IMO.
And also IMO, as someone who is highly critical of video production in general, Andy does a really good job with reviews. Probably the gold standard. Maybe silly Youtube comments aren't necessary but props where props are due, eh?
How is this not super cool?

Totes agree with gearmond and dubkitty, you guys have it sorted out. Andy definitely has it right; not too much personality, all the talking is about the pedal, he plays a variety of stuff and can find cool things to do with any pedal.
Pretty much all the ILF bro demos I've seen have been good, so keep it up guys!

I thinks that's actually healthy for Your feet, isn't it? So please just tell everybody fuck off if You should compromise that. If You catch my point in my listsa You should get ideas of how to make not wearing shoes a feature of Your demo video
