I was reading up on various pedals, found my way to the Blackout Effectors site and clicked on the forum link. I think I lurked for a few months after that before I finally decided to 'contribute'.

I think that someone mentioned it on a reddit post about some strange pedals or guitars and I found this place.

Now I live here.

I think I saw Behndy mention ILF offhandedly on TB, and since I was looking for fuzzes at that time, I came and checked it out. So glad I did.

I've never understood how people can just lurk on a forum. Then again, I'm a total forum-whore and need constant verification of my existence. HEY GUYS WAM BOOM WAZZLE, SOMETHING ABOUT KINKY SEX AMIRITE?

Tapping off the never ending fountainhead of gear wisdom around here is just secondary. ;)

:group:

Here's another question: Is this the first forum you've been a solidly active member in? For me, certainly not. snipelfritz has been making his way across the web since at least 2004.

Talkbass was the first forum I was active on at all. But, back when I was in high school and college, in the prehistoric days of the Internet, I used to be really active on some newsgroups. Man, do people still use newsgroups? I haven't even looked in so many years ...

I used to follow a blog called Music Thing, which ran a spotlight post on some INSANELY INCREDIBLY NUTSO GONZO pedal called the Synth Mangler. They were kind enough to include a link to the builder's forum... which was of course Devi's. Can't remember how long I lurked before finally posting here.

This is definitely the first forum I've been a solidly active member in... and aside from a brief fling in the fx section over at TalkBass, the only one.

I saw Aen's TGD demo, pooped my pants, bought one from Fuzzhugger.com, then followed the forum link.

Actually, you know what, it very well may have been that same exact post that mariachi made on Talkbass that made me find it as well. Although, I wasn't totally sold until I saw Aen's demo of the Devi Bit. I immediately thought that it was the coolest pedal demo I'd ever seen.

EDIT:: This one right here:
