At risk of offending the Mods I have to thoroughly disagree;

ignoring context is a far more slippery slope in my opinion. "Justice" in this country is a blind chick swinging a sword around; does that really seem safe? Blind adherence to rules makes us a slave to them. Rules should exist to to benefit , not cage us.

there is a major difference between "you are just a dumb n***er" and "sh*t ni**a, you is just dumb!" While they are both meant to offend, one is clearly racist, while the other just sounds ghetto.

The picture in question pretty clearly is not intended as a racial slur; the humour relies on the vast difference between suburban white culture and inner city ghetto culture. The idea of people acting or speaking in a way totally contrary to what you might expect from their general appearance. This is what makes the picture funny, not some small minded, ignorant racist idea about black people.

totally agree. personally i think it's silly to give any word that kind of power, i'm with you where the context makes or breaks how awful it is, but again, ILF's rules.

Reflect doesn't mean agreeing with. In a humorous context, ignorant opinions are often presented as fodder for humor. If someone is presenting a 'small minded, ignorant racist idea about anything' in the context of a parody, how is that more offensive than a frank discussion that aims to make the same point?

honestly, not all frank discussions are useful or even intelligent ones. not all jokes are intelligent. these types of 'parodies' are almost always made by dudes totally ignorant to black culture outside of what they see in the media. there are very few racially minded comedians that just aren't pandering to white people's totally incomprehensible desire to say the n word (SERIOUSLY WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?) and be like WHAT ABOUT ALL THAT BLING BLING, AM I RIGHT?
