p.o. boxes cost money(which I don't have) and I don't get that much mail.

lol, why do you think I'm so irritated they keep doing it. I was doing such a good job of hiding it.

this is true. I was definitely in an irritable mood after a long day. TBH, the mail issue started when my dad opened a package which was a pedal I had order when he thought it was something for him(despite MY name being on it) and a couple weeks later me admitting I had wasted all my money that I was saving towards college tuition.

There's a lot of factors at play. The whole suing thing was dumb as fuck and just a matter of venting, but I will consider the fake letter idea(I think that was jfrey's) if just for shits and giggles.

My parents do a lot for me, but I just feel very suffocated by them after living on my own for three years(and completely failing at that). This just happens to be one outstanding example of this. I know they understand that I was offended by it, and I think it will be ok.

Also: when you move out, your relationship with them will improve vastly.

A lot of tension happens between your desire to be and exist and experience, and their desire to keep you from things that they have experienced, or heard about. American news is fucking crazy. They're probably trying to save you from the letterbombs they are sure one of the millions of murderers walking free has sent to you.

lol, this reminds me of an idea I had for a terrorist theme-party which would include mailed invitations with flour or some sort of white powder in the envelope.

So most people's parents would be happy to hear their child found a new part time job that will quickly pay better and have more consistent hours than their current one. Not mine, they turn this into another opportunity to splatter a diarrhea of skeptical derision all over my face in the form of some asinine interrogation in which they try to make me consider all of the things I've already thoroughly analyzed.

This is why I'm 19 and have lived on my own since the summer.
Some people really to have power over other people. There really isn't much you can do other than not tell them ANYTHING, or move out.

Dude in a few years you're going to read all this and just be so, so embarrassed that you ever felt this way or shared it with people.

It'll be like re-reading emo poetry you wrote when you were 15, just this terrible mixture of shame and horror.
