went to chelsea market for a meeting with our record label and producer over some tasty thai food. then we went over and checked out sterling sound where our album was mastered - got to meet the engineer greg calbi which was really cool. nice day off tonight in philly where i'll be finishing up some pedals and prepping them for shipping tomorrow - a nice batch to fuzzhugger and some more custom jobs out to peeps who ordered them... then no more pedals until november.

01) i LOVE Chelsea Market. so boojie yet so fucking TASTY.

02) very cool! did you punch Engineer Dood and yell MOAR EFX OR I CUT UR MAWMZ?

03) more SS/BS pedals in the wild? AWESOME. waiting for other tasties..... sad trumpet.

also, WILL HAVE SPECIAL TOUR PRICED SPARKLE MOTIONS AT THE MERCH TABLE! wink wink wink wink

All I'm sayin is there are tons of good venues in the KC (and Lawrence) area. I'd drive to Omaha if I could but that's like 5 or 6 hours from here. That's a negative for me unfortunately. If you guys come by next time, I'll try to plan a trip out of it. Would be cool to check you out live.

You can make it to Omaha from KC in under 3 hours. I have done it way too many times.

Had a great time at the show last night at the Black Cat! Really enjoyed Hooray For Earth also, hadn't heard of them before.

hellz yeah! it was great to meet you and achtane and everyone!
hooray for earth is awesome. the DC show was excellent, too - i thought we played our asses off and i ended up shredding the fuck out of my feedback mic.

just took off from camping in shenandoah national park. wasn't perfect because of the rain/mist that was intermittently around all night, but we had a great time cooking up some tasty veggie filled silver turtles, veggie & noodle soup, fire-roasted pears with honey... we slammed back a bottle of jameson and a case of bass ale and indulged in some nice keef hash that someone graciously gifted to us. yeah we got crunk in the woods. :trippy:

the night finished off interestingly as well, with some weird redneck fight happening in the next campsite over. creeps! on to chapel hill now, hopefully we'll be picking up our CDs/vinyl tomorrow and will be kicking it with a really sweet atlanta band named lyonnais that EVERYONE SHOULD CHECK OUT.

been a minute.
excellent time in new orleans - thin crowd but i made up for it in drunkenness and general enjoyment.
houston last night was surprisingly good after a long day of playing resident evil 5.
driving to austin today was strange driving past a good couple of miles of burned forest from the wildfires; singed buildings and burned signs were really intense to just zip past. relaxing here at our soundguy's house, eating mexican brownies, playing acoustics and chillin with a super cute dog named bleu... daytrotter session in a few minutes which should be nice - hopefully some BBQ too!

i thought that was a Mare-ahhh-gee-won-ah reference.

in TN where some of my fam live there's a place that sells "Mexican Cornbread". while delicious, it makes me feel awkward that you add jalepeno's and it's "Mexican".

yeah, it's not very appropriate at all. my ex girlfriend was mexican and probably wouldn't approve...

meh. all the Hawt Messican Hawtness Laydays i dated would get 2 o'clock cooter shadow, same day as shaving. that makes me feel like there's a LITTLE more leeway for Politically Incorrect Nomenclature.

but i'm an asshole.
