Started this thread and took the plunge on this badboy and got one and have to say it is brilliant.
Arrived this morning and had a couple of hours with it so far but already I can tell its the one for me.
To give you a flavour of the bands I like: Pavement, Mudhoney, Dino Jr, Sonic Youth, Polvo, SP, Pixies etc.
My 3 year old big muff always has a generic EHX muff sound that sounds great but can get lost in the mix.
All the dials on this baby such as blend, presence, clean etc allow you to find loads of useful adjustments without laming out the tone and allowing you to sonically position it exactly where you want.
The build quality is great and the layout/controls intuitive. Footprint not a problem.
With the combination of IC muff and Superfuzz I feel this and my RAT do the job for me now.
Spot on! Truly great!

Some of their old stuff isn't too bad, the last album was god awful. Ever since the whole Twilight thing, I would rather have owls shit in my eyes and have raccoons feast on my remains than listen to them

How about some pics. The prototypes I saw were SMD but it was rumored the shipped units were to be through hole.

Glad to hear you're digging it.
I don't quite need something like that beast, I don't need them tied together like that.
Whatever happened to that mixer thingy devi was going to work on?
Chance at some gut shots? I didn't realize these were going to be smd, though that makes sense. Must be tidy in there.

Seems like she's going that way, not that there is anything wrong with that. But tape and reel machines are pretty big and expensive. So unless she's building them with a reflow oven, the boards are most likely built by someone else off site.

There is nary a Silver Rose that has been through hole... except for some diodes and misc components such as the relay.

The Silver Rose boards -will- be built in a factory by the end of the year.
I'm still debating whether I want to invest in my own pick and place machines / wave soldering, etc.... because I'm not sure if I want to have to deal with running a business that large, but there seems to be a demand for a manufacturer with boutique experience to set a decent standard for larger production orders in the boutique biz that isn't some generic electronics factory.
Also the BLEND mixing pedal (which the mix / eq section of the Silver Rose was based off of) is definitely still going into production, but as you can imagine, I'm pretty swamped with work right now.

I'll just stick to purchasing what's in stores and readily available.
builders attitudes come in soo many colors. I'm gonna save myself some grief and interact with the ones that respect professionalism for my $$$.
I'm sorry my conduct doesn't live up to your standards, but I'd hope that you can understand this is an enormous project which we have worked very hard to come to fruition, and I don't think it's too much to be patient for a few weeks delay on something so substantial and different from what a company such as mine is used to doing.
I feel I've been pretty transparent in this process, and for anyone else who is feeling antsy about the fact this has gone a little over the projected deadline, I've been posting plenty of pictures and daily updates on facebook and now on this thread :

Also Prymaxe is one of the reasons this entire project got off the ground... and the pre-orders are $25 less than Prymaxe, so once again I'm sorry if that goes against certain people's sensibilities, but if you feel like you are getting a raw deal in this, once again, you know how to contact me so we can work things out and anyone who's really bothered to take the time to talk to me about things, knows I'm here to work things out and share the love.

My god.
There's no way I would be able to do that. The board would have flown across the room about a minute in.
Power to you!
