I wonder if we can convince Tom to move here. Although with our current governor, there's not a lot of reason to move business here

That's another reason to join and not lurk... WI fuzz pedalers unite! :joy:

I think I missed a Torn's Peaker you had by a week or two, nieh? Or another user crosspost from here and Milw area CL...

When you don't have a car, just a fixed-gear bike, and are vegan, that trip looks a lot different

Like out near wiscousin dells/ portage by any chance?

Wisc. Dells is about halfway to Madison, so @ 50 miles from the Dells, @ 70-ish to Portage.

Single speed > fixed gear. :poke:

I dunno man, I just like my bike exactly how I built it. I don't buy any of the fixed gear hipster bullshit. I built it for cheaper than it would've been as a singlespeed and a lot cheaper built up with gears, or for cyclocross, or whatever. As someone who has been paid to fix bikes, I'd rather have this thing the way it is; it has never broken down. :idk:

Maybe I am a hipster. I don't care. :whateva:

That said, if you ever make it down to Milwaukee, I'd love to jam. I may even provide the beer and the (veggie for me) burgers. Or we could just go to Palomino (the cowboy bar next to the Cactus Club, with lots of veggie options. Love that place.)

Haha, I'm a bike nerd too. Just yanking your always rolling chain. :poke:

I'm not sure I could ever break my single speed. Others have tried! Got that bike set up sweeeeeeet + cheap too. All used BMX + 24" BMX cruiser parts ex for the handlebars. Might have to sell the Hellcat this summer for rekkid label $$. Was an awesome bike to build tho, and I have parts enough for another 24" cromo single speed that will be lighter and just as sturdy.

My folks live in Milw area. I should make it down there sometime this summer, unless they start charging pints of blood for gallons of gasoline.
