"chazerai" or "chatzerai" is the correct spelling in Yiddish. the literal definition is "trash." "hazarai" is E-H's misspelling.

Well I guess I can post this... When askthedust tried to buy I was trying to buy it too... It seemed like an odd email so I didn't respond right away...
"Hey man. Two other guys are trying to get it as well as you. I feel like a bit of a dick saying this, but I think I'll have to sell it to whomever is willing to give the most for it... gotta pay those bills, you know?
So, the first guy was offering to trade me for a GC + some cash. I probably won't take it, as I could use the money more than anything.

Sad unless you're the guy that just got scammed out of $450, then it's just infuriating. What's sad is all the shit intothegroove caught when he posted about the experience. Yeah, he was a bit over the top and aggressive, think he was just pissed though as anyone would be in the same situation.
I, for one, appreciate any warning that keeps me from getting involved in deals with thieving assholes, which sounds like the case here.

Wow,just wow...I was wrong. I honestly thought he was a good dude. In fact,he WAS,so when intothegroove posted his initial thread,I was all like,"man,that can't be right". But I guess he really did rip you guys off...Fuck-I'll eat my hat on this one,dudes. I will say that(and this by no means excuses Elban)he was a decent guy before he found himself in the midst of some heaviness. And adversity can bring out the best or worse in people. Clearly,the latter is the case. I'm sorry for you guys' misfortune

i saw it to late to mention anything, but i had two deals with intothegroove and he has been really reliable (i even built him a pedal). communication is sometimes kind of odd - but i'm european so i do not always get everything right with subtle meanings...
that adds nothing to the other facts(?), i just want to point out, that he is a good guy

I'm gonna go ahead and +1 this. I had talked with 'cardo so much over the last couple years, that I thought there was no way that shit was true. It's a total bummer all the way around. Just goes to show that when the shit goes down, people show you who they really are.

i don't really know what's going on because i never pay attention but i don't really care either.
even if the fucking pedal you're buying is said to be brand new, ask about it, ask for pictures, open the fucking box, at least check out the pedal if you're dishing out $450.
if you don't, you're probably an idiot who is more stoked to spend $450 on the idea and aesthetic pleasure of a pedal than the actual thing.
if you wanna give me some money i'll tell you about a whole buncha pedals.

I tend to agree. I always ask for pics, demand on showing pics for this very reason for every online interaction, and in person insist on trying it out to prove it works. Plus he talked about it being broken back in October
