Yes it keeps my face warm. And last time I shaved it completely off, 8 years ago, I got arrested. So I didn't even have my precious beard for the mug shot or the subsequent 2 days in lockup. That was real cold. Now I know that if I shave it off again, I'll get busted again. It's my superstition beard.
