The difference is that I'll trade work for gear or gear + cash. I'll make and ship a JM or Mustang body in exchange for a TAFM.

BULLSHIT.
I don't understand why people want all those switches... some people want the Jag body without the bullshit so we can rock the fuck out without worrying about if five different switches are in the right place. I mean I'd love to have a vintage Jag with all the switches for some recording fun , but if I'm on stage I'm probably gonna knock those switches more than once or twice.

the switches are what makes the jaguar what it is. it isn't a jaguar if you can't accidentally turn it off mid-gig. that thing up there should be called a fender panther or something

PumpkinPieces wrote:Guess what, they still make Jaguars with all the switches. These are budget models, you're not going to get everything.
A budget Stratocaster doesn't come with less pickups. Why shouldn't a budget Jag come with all it's appointments? It's all the chrome and the shortscale that makes the Jaguar so awesome. These are more like Squier Jagmasters... Blicero's right - they should have a different name.

I'll route it for ya but I won't paint it. That'd be extra. I could prime it, though. Then all you'd have to do is decide on what colour and what method you want to use it paint it.

They do, they're called Blacktop Jaguars.
And Mexican Strats and Teles sound and play differently than the other models. Just because they have the same amount of pickups and knobs doesn't mean they're the same quality. I own a MIM Tele and it's not the same quality as an American one I've played or even a 72' Deluxe.
If you're going to bring right and wrong into a subject about whether a guitar should be labeled Jaguar or not, then you're way too fucking picky about a guitar you're not willing to pay and play.
