We have pedals enclosed in wood, sheet metal, die cast aluminum, sand cast bronze, some indi looking plate steel so I don’t see why we shouldn’t have stone enclosures.
I’m sure the rock store near me could hook me up with one for a price.

Question is what hind of stone. Marble and granite have noticeably different tone qualities as does soap stone (common here and easy to work with hand tools)

And what about the area where the stone comes from?
We know that wood’s grain and figure are effected by the overall climate of where its grown walnut figures beautifully when grown harsh areas with dramatic changes between winter and summer.
So to stands to reason stone would be affected also.

Much to ponder here.

granite enclosures! for tone transfers! :yay:

extra tones come from the sheep skin pad leather guitar strap that allows the instrument to resonate though your body so that when you step on the pedal with the granite enclosure the tone from the strap can join with the grantie enclosure and get into the circuit for truly pure pure tone... :joy:

you can also subsitute the sheep skin leather strap with a used seat belt strap or a rusty barbed wire strap that is made from rusty barbed wire... ;)

You wont get any brown sound from granite enclosures! Just glassy goodness...
When I was a kid I would lay in bed at night with the headstock of my bass pressed against my bedroom window to amplify it. I was 8 years old and figured that one out by accident, scarey thing is i'm 42 and remember it.

Now that would be pretty damn cool, it might also drive up the market for vintage toasters.

Like I said the site is old. First I heard of them was in 98-99. I love stuff made from found parts. Another builder that people round here might dig now that I think about it is Ellie Erickson http://www.ellieguitars.com/index_old.php

She is as kookie as her instruments too, she is one of the main people on http://www.mimf.com [which I no longer post at] and she would always stick it to the know it alls  My favorite one she ever did was based on a 50's Kay and it was bubblegum pink with a green pearloid pickguard.
