I've had some pretty heavy dreams before. I once dreamt of my grandfather's liquor store getting robbed. Then 2 years later,it happened. The earliest dream I remember was at age 4. I dreamt of a hairless bigfoot with pink skin. It chased me and vomited watermelons. Its skin was covered in warts. If it happened to vomit a melon on anyone, they'd die, just up and fucking keel over. Weird

i had a dream last night i was standing in a big white room kinda like an art gallery with big tall ceilings and at the top of the ceiling on the wall was a guy nailed in a crucifix kinda shape
and all i remember is me and some other person standing next to me staring at him up there and he kept moving like jittering and i asked him if he was dead or not and then all i remember is being worried about the nails ripping through his hands and feet when he jittered and him falling from the wall and landing ontop of someone
all i remember is me staring at him for like it felt for hours and being worried
so weird
usually i can work out what my dreams mean but this one is confusing
im not religious at all either

Post apocalyptic and chasing shit x 10...I have had dreams where I literally off'd my(and the world's)would-be oppressors, ran with a small band of people, hid and tried to quietly off small groups of them. But I killed those guys in numerous fucked up and disturbing ways and it felt better than it should have

Mine are in black and white, and in first person.
My thoughts in my head are usually separate from my actions, which is really annoying.

In middle school I used to sleep with my boom box on my bed so I could listen to music without it being loud enough for the parents to know. One evening, I was having a nightmare that I was being chased by a ghoul/goblin type. To my dismay, it had caught up to me. With some last minute instinctual action, I turned and punched the hell out of that bastard. Gave 'em the ol' right *jab* right in the kisser.
WELL, this very same night, turns out I was sleeping on my side...facing the bbox. I instantly woke up (after I assure you, knocking out that goblin) to minor pain & bloody knuckles

. Turns out I beat up my stereo. Straight up punched a hole into one of the speakers. Yea. Told you I knocked him out.

I had sleep paralysis once in the university library. It was horrible. I dreamt I was spilling scalding hot tea all over myself, but I wasn't moving. I was in a chair with my head hanging down, watching my legs not move as imaginary tea was burning me. Not cool.
I have two post-apocalyptic dreams I remember. There was one that started out like I was watching tv, and they were showing those atomic bomb explosions that are always shown in movies. But they were landing on my town, and the buildings looked like they'd been cut out of the newspaper and taped to the screenof the television.
Then it was in third person and the bombs had turned all the walls into chicken wire. Everyone was rounded up and put into a concentration camp thing, but they didn't have anything for us to do. So I asked the guard if I could go home and grab books or whatever, and he thought that was a great idea so he did the same thing; then I woke up.
The otherinvolved a giant church, a lawnmower; and huge, killer, mutated, flying pink poodles. I'd say more, but I don't remember very much about it.
I've also had several conversations in my sleep. Usually I'll be taking a nap, someone will start talking to me, I'll respond, later I wake up none the wiser. Not as strange as sleep punching though.

Last night I had a dream that I was living with my parents once again, but apparently that enabled me to afford the giant 20x12" cab that took up half of my bedroom.
Oddly enough I could move it with a single hand, and I also referred to it as The Cab of Doom, because, you know, the world ended in 2012. Get it? RDRR? No? Hmm.

I have lots of whacked out dreams, not so much since I started doing drugs, but they still happen. Usually it's some crazy shit.
Recurring dreams:
- This one usually happens shortly after falling asleep and I'll wake up in a panic. Like, I feel like I'm in this empty black room, and I can't see anything, but the room is pretty small, maybe like 10x10 tops and there's nothing in it, I'm just lying on the floor. All of a sudden, the room starts to expand, even though I can't see it, I feel it. It's just this increasing darkness and I'm left in the middle unable to move as the walls keep growing out. Probably for about the past 5 years or so
- This one i've been having like ever since I can remember it. It's usually a darker, unclear thing before and through this door busts a train like one of those old school trains with the big smoke stack, cow pusher thing and single light just coming towards me. And I just stand there, and the train keeps coming closer and the horn keeps blowing and I just stand there. I want to move away, but I can't. I usually wake up all panicked from those.

Ooh cool thread
I have similar themes in my dreams
I have a recurring dream that is a post zombie apocalypse storyline and it just continues, sometimes with months between dreams, like a tv show
The main stuff I dream about
- car crashes
- zombies
- dolphins and whales
- drowning
- nudity (but very rarely sexual nudity)
Always seems to revolve around those 5

I feel ya. I get sleep paralysis all the got dayum time. I absolutely hate it. I'm consciously aware of what's happening in the outside world, I just can't move/talk. I'm used to it enough now that when it happens, I'm able to stay calm and just wait it out.
But a week or two ago, I had a really interesting case of sleep paralysis. It started out as the normal "dammit not again. I can't move." But after a while, I felt as if some(one/thing) put their hands on me and started shaking me. It was slow and rhythmic at first. Then in my head, I remember getting pissed off at whatever it was. In my head I remember yelling at it to stop. Then, suddenly, I remember being violently shaken. And it felt like it went on forever.
The realist in me thinks I was probably still half asleep/dreaming because, when I think about it, I don't recall my bed moving or creaking like it should have.
I don't mean to sound like some superstitious idiot, but I remember it feeling so
real. If it really was still a dream, it was the most real dream I've ever had. Nothing has ever come close to this.
I just remember waking up utterly terrified. Not to mention the fact that my roommate sometimes talked jibberish in his sleep. So after waking up from what almost felt like a demon possession, my roommate starts speaking in tongues.
I got
the fuck outta there and spent the rest of the night in my dorm lobby.

That's interesting. I used to have a recurring dream about a dolphin (or sort of a dolphin). It was actually a recurring segment within a longer dream sequence, usually at the end.
I would be driving home and would turn onto the street to enter my housing development. There was a pretty large sump there with a gate for access to it. In front of the gate would be a dolphin-like creature in the street. It was furry, had a long snout and sharp teeth. (I used to refer to it as a pre-historic dolphin.) I would stop the car, get out and try to kick it. Every time it would end up with the dolphin having my shoe in its mouth and me running away (on foot), missing a shoe. That's where the dream usually ends.
I still have no idea what this dream means.

DUDE!

That's awful! Luckily I haven't had too many experiences with sleep paralysis. It would happen every time I fell asleep listening to Brian Eno's Textures. I actually stopped listening to it for that reason...
It was definitely part of your dream. Most UFO/demon encounters fit very easily into the sleep paralysis mold. There's usually a malicious presence and you're unable to move or do anything, which in the dream is usually attributed to the presence.
Fun fact: in the Mormon religion, there's an account by Joseph smith where he's visited by satan and then by Jesus with some other angel dudes (it's actually what inspired Joseph Smith to start his church). However, early accounts of this experience are very similar to what people describe happening during sleep paralysis. So, one day Joey smith took a nap in the forest, had a crazy fucking dream, and started a religion.

I've had a couple reoccurring dreams since I was little, almost 30 years now... One is that I put some gum in my mouth and then later in the dream it starts to grow and no matter how many huge handfuls of gum I pull out my mouth it's still jammed... I read something about it meaning that I have stuff to say and am feeling stifled or something but I've been having them since I was young... Anyway when people at work or friends offer me gum I ALWAYS say no cause I don't want it to start... I can chew gum but I can't take it from someone else, or if I do I toss it later... Aint No Gum that's gonna take me over...
