Meant to post this a while ago, but I think this is a good step for the Tremolessence
Will definitely set it further apart from all the other great trems out there

The Cusack Tap-A-Whirl has a ramp-feature, customizable to each waveform. I personally never used it nor found any applications for it (but I'm a bassist, what do I know?)

isn't the tapaWhilr ramp a waveshape symmetry change (like on the SD Shape Shifter)? and not like the VB-2 ramp feature

The depth starts at nill and then increases until the set depth, and the time is adjustable, between 0 and 4000 milliseconds.

Re: Tremolessence Ultimate Version Features
Sounds like their version works as a delay-time when you turn the pedal on from a bypassed state... so the pedal is off, you set a knob that delays the effect starting, then click the pedal on and it ramps in over the set time frame... that's how I read it.
My way is different in that the hold feature only works when you hold down the stomp switch while in that setting... you hold down the stompswitch, the effect ramps in over the set time but only while you hold the stompswitch down, let it go and the effect fades out until you hold the stompswitch down again... otherwise the bypass is just normal on and off. And I swear I just ripped it off from BOSS. *smile*
You betcha it will!
I finished up the first version of the new pcb layout and I should be able to build the first one in about a week. I ended up ditching one of the toggle switches, the one that switches between the different ranges of rate settings. With this new vactrol method of controlling the rate I'm able to have a really big range of speeds on a single knob... even faster and slower maximums than the current version with the different ranges... and it's not awkward or unwieldy either, it works nicely.

You read it right, Ryan
(no, that's not a new feature to the v3, my v2 had it too)
I'm excited to see the new Tremolessence :D

The first prototype pcb will be here this week and I'll get to make the first Ultimate Tremolessence next weekend... and who knows, it may even work!

Thanks, Ian! I'll keep you guys posted! My biggest concern is the soft touch switching being quiet, everything else is

If you need any "beta" testers let me know, i'm moving back to alberta (calgary) in a week.

I'm sorry, Stephen! Keep in mind the production of these will take months... this is just the first prototype stage of a brand new product and even that process takes a long time. It took me 3 months to get the miniberator pcb totally ironed out and ready for a production quantity. These new Tremolessences will still be quite awhile away... possibly not even by the end of this year if things don't go our way or there's hitches I haven't thought of. Plus, imagine the incredible price you'll get on the new version.
I still love you.
This is always the hard part of upgrades, I hate obsoleting people's pedals.. especially the custom finish guys!

Sometimes, you can "trick" an inductor (in this case the relay coil) into minimizing flyback voltage, which may or may not be the source of noise in the switching system. I've experienced success in noise reduction by manipulating timing and applied current.
I certainly feel your pain. Quiet can be tough.
