In that regard Trump's a borderline Libertarian, now that I think about it. He wants to wall off the borders and avoid being in any sort of alliance or war with anyone and everyone.

The funny thing is I consider myself a Libertarian.
But, I also acknowledge that at least two thirds of Libertarians are batshit crazy at the same time.

I'm not opposed to a lot of stuff that Libertarians believe in, but it's just not practical to hold those beliefs and think they'll work in actual practice.

To do so, like you've said, ignores a lot of our country's history. In a perfect world, yeah, let's live in La La Land, but this's the real world.
