That's a beauty (the paint job is awesome)... who made this and what kind of fuzz it is?
It was made by my buddy LaoWiz! He is the best. It is an Acetone Fuzz Matser(Super Fuzz) clone with some cool features. The enclosure was etched and painted by LaoWiz and I think it is the bees fucking knees. I just sent him an email in reagrds to making me another pedal and I have not even played this one yet. hahaha. I am impressed.

Despite not getting the Ross yesterday, I managed to rescue this from the back corner of a display case at a local shop today:

Anyone (*cough* devnulljup *cough*) know what the switch on the top of the pedal (below the fuzz switch, on the right of the guts shot) is supposed to do? It does not seem to do anything.

The stomp switch on top is for fuzz on/off, the stomp switch under the treadle is for switching between wah and volume pedal mode (toe down is silent in volume mode, weird), the little throw switch on the side is to switch between fuzz and fuzz+octave mode -- obviously it doesn't do anything until you hit the fuzz switch.

You can do the David Gilmour seagull trick with that wah too --- plug in backwards and you'll just get squeals.
I'm jealous you have one without the horrible carpet on it. Mine is covered in this manky blue fuzzy rug.

Coming: EHX 2880
Going: Moog Freqbox & Boss RV-3
Y'all should check out Musician's Friend's used section, never realized they have some good stuff. I just combined their used sale with Fatwallet's discount and got the 2880 for $280, even after CA sales tax (why did MF have to start enforcing that...

). I might call them tomorrow and see if I can get this weekend's phone-in discount on top of that, too. Turns out they stock Dwarfcraft, Devi, and some other cool stuff. Can get a "mint condition" Hax for ~$130 on there right now.
Anyone have recommendations for a good MIDI foot controller? I didn't pick up the 2880's footswitch, as I've heard horrible things about it, and I'd rather choose my own button assignments on a seperate MIDI controller.

Oh no, mine has the fuzzy rug, it's just black.
Thank you for all the details, and the labeled pic. I figured most of that out by playing with it, but my question was poorly worded. I was talking about the knob (not switch), on the top of the pedal, all the way to the left of your pic. It clicks between two "settings" but doesn't seem to do anything.

Acute GAS for an old BigMuff. It will pass in about 1.5 hours being either sated and me broke or not and me glad I can proceed with my actual *ahem*finish*ahem* the GAS-List. Oh my, what a pathetic plan. I have already thought about what to do after I've *ahem*finished*ahem* - I will want to try pedals from people I've been curious about but that never show up in the b/s/t and are thus kinda flying under the radar:
Examples:
Jimmy Behan FX
Montgomery Appliances
Recovery Sounds
Solid Stompboxes

OK, nevermind, I am a goddamned idiot for not just GOOGLING this. It's actually a four-position switch for wah tone (brite, mellow, etc.). Mine was just sticky at first, hence why I thought it was two.

I feel like I should buy this since that's my name, and I am down with the Distortion+ sound.

The knob sets the resonance freq of the wah and should have
5 settings or is it 4?) -- you might need to deoxit it. Mine was a little grunged up too.

Both in need of repair when I got them. The OD2 is now fixed...typical for an Ibanez pedal.....the pots were touching, grounding it out. Easy Peasy! The Therasynth needs some more attention though. If I touch the board to an unused pot lug it works.....then it doesnt. Weird.
