Eric Burke wasn't in Mastodon, Eric Saner was Mastodon's original singer. Just Brann and Bill in Lethargy.

I loved Crack the Skye once I watched the DVD behind the scenes. Unless it was all BS, that album had a lot of hard emotions behind it.

...so did St. Anger.

(Some Kind of Monster was really good, though).

And I liked St. Anger... kinda. If it was a short and aggressive EP I think it would have been a great way to break up the monotony I'm sure they were all feeling. But it was an overreaching LP that lost its credibility after the twentieth time the same riff was played.

Wes Mantooth wrote:Weird. I really dug Phantom Limb but thought Book Burner was fine but not memorable in the least. The songs just happen and then it's over, but I never really latched on to anything. I suppose it was probably because Phantom Limb was the first full album by Pig Destroyer that I owned and had only heard a couple of their older songs before that.
Same.

I saw them a few years back at Dark Lord Day and their set was alright. Saw them several years ago in Baltimore and their set was excellent. That was like prime Phantom Limb era.

Seriously sweet score on Shnike's old amp. Sad to see he had to sell it but it's for a good cause and it's nice to see it stayed in the ILF family.

That all white Hovercraft is pretty spiffy looking and all, but that Dunwich/Atlas rig makes my balls tingle.
