Holy crap ya'll have been posting like rabbits.

D, the two drummer thing is most likely a pipe dream and was inspired by having our outgoing drummer (zak) and incoming drummer (Jason) both playing Teotwaki at the same time and killing it. they are very different stylistically and zak plays a roland v-drums kit and jason is on a fibes. So the sound of two completely different kits combined with z's more technical playing and j's more simplistic pounding approach was really cool. Zaks on the way out though and I doubt we'll find another guy like him. When we started with him I was really not to into the v-drum idea. Having played with him for a while though its won me over. There are some limitations but the ability to change sets on the fly and absolute volume control and perfect tuning makes up for it. I'm suprised more drummers don't at least incorporate it into their sets ala Niel Pert style. A good pa is a must though so that's probably a limiting factor. If we could get a guy to be an auxiliary percussionist that's be cool, using different drums than a regular kit. Of course I'm not remotely a drummer and can't say how appealing that would or wouldn't be.
Killer to hear you are moving forward on the AB. I def want one and I bet tony will too. dudes a fuzz addict for sure and he loved your sound.

Kevin, So glad you have ingrown hair! :yay: wait, that sounds weird.....

Nick, one more questions about slaves, several of my amps have rca jack slave outs, but none have an in. these could just go to the normal inputs? or does it need to go to the power amp only? I was thinking if i could slave one of the earths to the other that would let me run 4 amps at once and have just that tiny bit more headroom and power. Right now the black one is going back on the bench but i think it just needs the sockets cleaned and retensioned as the noise it was making was intermittent and fixed by wiggling the tubes a bit.

Also, I cant wait to hear the demos for the 150 watt builds you have going. Gear fund is still way short of asking you to put something together for me but its steadily improving. Getting hooked on 12 strings with trems has really cut down on GAS issues for me. It's not that I dont want stuff, there is just a very limited amount of gear available. Down the road I might need to hit you up for something that can hang with the soundtronics head I resuscitated. the reliability and using one head to do the job of two is starting to look more and more appealing.

cant go into the normal inputs needs to be a slave in which is normally right before the phase inverter.

I get that alright, guess I'll have to study the SC120 and SC100 schematics and see how much of the power section would need changing. I was thinking without much research that a DR103 pre with an SC120 power amp would get me somewhat close to the SC100 at least for use as a pedal platform on bass. Would you mind if I shoot you a few questions once I'm a bit more clued in on them?

Angry I think my mate was looking for around what elroy is asking for both head and cab.

Woah, that would be a sweet deal. I could swing that. Keep in touch.

i use an HM-2 set as sort of a tight fuzz for Dropped A with an LP, boosting a Pharaoh. sounds massive.

also, since we're all such fans of the HM-2,i have a DOD American Metal, if you have any sort of cheap fuzz pedal you wanna trade for it hit me up, i'm not using it.

Gah I almost wanna sell my current big box rat and get an original. I've really become a Rat head honestly. Muffs are cool and all but Rat are totally the bees knees. ORange with a cranked rat combo is rad. I don't know how people use two rats with the distortion cranked, shit gets me all kinds of feedback. RAT PACK err day like an 80's movie star.

Either way, no I didn't end up buying that explorer because my research keeps leading me elsewhere. I don't give a crap about the wood, but I keep seeing these japanese copy explorers/les pauls/sg's and I'm not sure what to do they like I just found a 1990 korean hamer that looks just as ballin. I keep wanting a new guitar, but at the same time I'm just so unsure since I can't play them in my hands which is the most important test to me.

Edit:For all you rat users, what are your favorite rat settings?

hahahah thanks?!?!

Do any of your heads have FX loops? You can send a slave-in signal to the FX loop return of an amp as long as its post pre-amp (I believe ALL are but not sure) and serial (parallel wouldn't work I believe, easy way to test is to plug a guitar in the front input and any cable in the FX send but not the return if you get no signal your good ot go!). This is exactly what I do with the Naki into the VB-2, all though since mine are different power sections I have to have a volume controller between them to even out the volumes.

Very nice! And hell yeah on the drop A!!!!

Sidenote: I have never gotten along with rats very well :idk: I've had to tried a few different models and nothing ever spoke to me as OMG THIS IS AMAZING!!! I guess I'm more in to wooly chug with some grit on it, RAT's had a thin fizzy quality that just didn't jive with me.

I got to admit the highs can be quite fizzy. I generally use them with very little distortion and mostly volume added with a clean OR120. It boost it in that fuzz. One thing I can admit is that the muff does sound massive when I play with my OR at break up levels. I just have a tendency to like the versatility of my Rat.
