My bassist went to 2 amps so I had to go to 3

The old 260, 270, and 360 are the only acoustic units I know of with da fuzz, there's also a newer 260, but its garbage. No fuzz on the 370.grindonomicon wrote:360 has da FUZZ. Does 370?maggot wrote:But this is a 370.

I use my RedBear MK60 coupled with a Sunn Beta Lead. Plenty loud together but nothing rivaling a lot of guys here. It works out well for what I do and moves plenty of air. That being said... the RedBear is definitely quiet for a 60w amp. Definitely wish I had a MK120 as that would be a helluva better. Maybe some day when I'm sitting on piles of cash and can afford to really look at new amps.Iommic Pope wrote:My Mig 50 through an OR212 was louder than a 100w dual rec through a mesa 412 and a drummer whose main inspiration was Stanier on about 6 (VOL I, unbridged).
Maybe mine was just magical before it suffered electrical haemorrhage?
Seriously, it was fucking impressive.
But they are all different. There is zero consistency.
Caveat: I know I've said this many times before, but giant rigs like you guys have are NOT the norm down here. Gear wasteland and ridiculous prices keep everyone in check.
So I doubt if I rolled up to jam with one of you that the Mig50 would come close to cutting it.
But for the most part I can smash faces all day long with it down here, so that's good enough for me.
Also, SCIENCE FUCKING RULES.

Made = my point. FUZZ AMP! I mean if I'm spending an imaginary $1800 on a solid state stack, it better not need a damn pedal. But it also needs to sound damn good with them. 360!braaandooon wrote:The old 260, 270, and 360 are the only acoustic units I know of with da fuzz, there's also a newer 260, but its garbage. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have $1800 worth of fuzz. The bass player in my band has a 460 (I think) or something like that, and it has fuzz. It's not currently working, though. He's planning to rebuild it.grindonomicon wrote:360 has da FUZZ. Does 370?maggot wrote:But this is a 370.

I don't think I'll ever own an $1800 rig, solid state or used Meatsmoke. If I had a real $1800 I'd fix life stuff, not amp boner.maggot wrote:I'm pretty sure it doesn't have $1800 worth of fuzz. I'm not sure I've ever owned a $1000 rig. Even $500 is pushing it.grindonomicon wrote:I don't think I'll ever own an $1800 rig, solid state or used Meatsmoke. That will be a sweet old school solid state amp!
I'm..... not gonna comment.maggot wrote:I'm not sure I've ever owned a $1000 rig. Even $500 is pushing it.grindonomicon wrote:I don't think I'll ever own an $1800 rig, solid state or used Meatsmoke.
