Got my Volca Beats yesterday. Took it for a spin today and made a loop with some plucking of strings. Sooo much fun!

Respect! I sold my interface on Tuesday and got a Tascam DP-03SD in the the mail yesterday.

I went the cheaper/simpler/youbettergetitright route with a DR40.

DR40 is quality, i love mine. since you're using a mixer anyway it'll probably be just fine for direct recordings, it's nice and simple and quiet. the inbuilt mics are awesome too, can do really wide stereo image field recordings.

hey kids, another thumbs up for the dr40 from me
yeah, the more ambient AB mic settings is very nice for locations, and with the right handgrip you can handhold it with no handling noise.

I'm glad yall like yours! I bought it mainly because its one of the few field recorders that can handle line level signal on the line input but knowing it does weird stereo imaging is obviously a huge plus.
Also got it for $115 shipped

Work-shopping placement. I think I might get rid of the pedaltrain and do a diy board. Also not sure how I feel about the FF.

My current stripped down board. I sold everything else. The bare metal box is a Wooly Mammoth clone.
