I know right! The worse part is if I do end up getting them my OCD is gonna force me to get a matching snare....conky wrote:I don't have the cash to spare for that, but goddamn its so fucking tempting. The perfect sizes, too.
I hadn't heard of them before so I googled them. I'm curious as to why you want one of their snares other than aesthetic reasons?Vuvuzela wrote:guys...i think i want a wail city snare. help me resist racking up more credit card debt!
Well they look to be very well made and built drums, and if you've personally played and liked them then I can see why you would want one. How much do they run on average? and whose the drummer that builds them?Vuvuzela wrote:the stave construction, the way they've sounded when i've played them (i've played two and have heard 6 shows with them being used.)
and it doesn't hurt that the guy who builds them is one of my favorite drummers.
Nick Anglini from A Wilhelm Scream. Dude's a beast on the drums. and they're my favorite band.Ancient Astronaught wrote:Well they look to be very well made and built drums, and if you've personally played and liked them then I can see why you would want one. hahahahaBirch wood, decent tone, lots of unnecessary hardware on the shells. Not bad if dirt cheap or immaculate condition.whiskey_face wrote:1982 tama superstar in bonham sizes...

Incorrect..... having had a few different Bonham size kits theres two to DEFINITELY avoid.... Ludwig Accent (they just sound like utter shit IMO, and I toured with one for a while...) and Gretsch Club Rock (you gotta upgrade the hoops or they go out of tune, ALOT).Muff_Diver wrote:Yes to anything Bonham sizes.
