Yeah a Pico DSP could be a nice compliment to that there set-up
Just ordered an SQ-1 and some stackcables today, modest but exciting! Been sorely missing the ability to mult, and I hope the SQ-1 can retain a sense of immediacy I felt was lost with the Beat Step Pro... I almost impulse bought a case with these labor day sales but figured ModularDad would be disappoint of such a move

i'm torn on ordering an SQ-1. i would looooove another super immediate sequencer, but i also know if i stop slacking and get my Squarpamid setup right it would probably cover that want.

I would seriously consider something like Blinds or the WMD Triple Bipolar VCA if you need more VCAs. They might not be as easy to zero out but bipolar vca's are so much fun for modulation. Blinds specifically has been really useful for me to offset and fine tune modulation, as well.
& the Triple BiPolar VCA has two separate inputs per VCA and implements them in a pretty unique way:
+ In - This is the normal input for each VCA channel. It drives the inverting side of the Bipolar VCA.
- In - This is the second input for the VCA channel. Normaled through this jack is the inverted signal from the + Input. Plugging in here converts the channel from a Bipolar VCA to a dual VCA. Negative control voltages will open the - side, and positive control voltages will open the + side. This allows you to use two modulation sources and alternate between them, while still retaining control over amplitude.

I've been thinking of getting a Braids since you mentioned it to me actually haha. just not sure if I want to go that route or just get a couple/few 2hp VCAs. also kind of just want to get a maths?? need more space :P this is what I have fwiw. don't have the disting/mix yet.

Ruiner, did you get your midi controller fixed?? I'm too lazy to go back that many pages.

Alright, finally got it working (just didn't like the VCO i was trying to use but works with Braids). Going to need to learn proper technique to play it but it's pretty damn cool IMO!
