I'm still waiting for that to kick in for me

Mmmmmm I like the orange you used for the walls.

The gear aint so bad either!
I'm with you and Sam, no cables ever get left out what so ever with little ones running around the house. There's too much that could go wrong and it forces me to get used to set up / tear down like for a live gig. Just without hauling huge ass cabs around at 2/3 in the morning.....

I'm lazy dad, I leave all my shit plugged in, but coiled up and switched off at the wall, which is behind my cab. Then I shut the room up and enforce pain of death punishments if the kids go in there.
Actually, I haven't had a problem yet, mostly because my man cave is also the dank storage space full of moving boxes and crap and it is pretty much the least inviting place for children ever.
Hell, even I don't wanna go in there sometimes.
The kids are more interested in the Star Wars Lego I got stashed in my room anyhow.
Although, occasionally, my son will ask me to put on a Clutch record, or my daughter will want me to put on an album so she can dance.
Which is the cutest thing ever.

Looks great, Trey! What's that Marshall cab? Looks like a 1965b...
No spawn, but I pack everything away when I'm not playing because 1) I just generally like shit tidy and 2) 75lb black lab thinks anything on the floor is a toy.

412's are really underrated as bass cabs and I've never been too sure why

Totally!
Nothing against 8x10s but I've always loved 4x12s more - you still have a lot of the clarity of 10s but more boom imo. I've played various combinations of 15s and 18s too but I found them a little muddy, especially when downtuning.
Doesn't stop me from trying more of them though. I love experimenting, and I've got an old Peavey 210+18 in the living room waiting to get tested out.

thanks!
weight can definitely be a factor. Schroeders are relatively light though - that head actually weighs more than the cab

Schroeder's are reviewed rather highly especially with their light weight so you made out buddy!!! I can believe that the SVT weigh's more, those things are freaking battleships.

It's got to be heavy to bring the heavy.
