The more I play this, the more unsure I am of whether I should be looking for a guitar player or a bassist.

Dude, keep the ambiguity. Play the Vi, get yourself a synth head who can play good bass lines and messy midrangey stuff and a drum machine or drummer and boom, you're amazing.

That's sort of what I'm hoping for. That's why I'm getting my wife a synth. Instant band mate.

Drums are also very nurturing for 2 year olds. Just sayin'.

I play with my wife. We have guitars and synths.
Seems someone else has mentioned making music with their loved ones. Maybe we need a SO band thread?

Time for a short vent: My VI has not even been sent from Fender to the shop I ordered it from a month ago. They told me it would be another two weeks, but at least they said I could get my money back. So I did, and ordered from another shop just now. I was so paranoid that I had to call them up to make sure they actually had it in stock. "are you sure?" "yeah, dude. I'm looking right at it".

Hahaha. I'm really lucky to have a really cool local shop. They have rad stuff in stock (even pedal wise), and they don't jerk me around when I order something they don't have in stock from them. Plus their prices are really good, I saved 10-20 euros compared to Thomann for both my Squiers. Yeah. That's right. Take that, Norway, with your beautiful snow, smart paper clips and sexy blond hair.

Luuuuucky! The first shop I ordered from is a chain store though. My local store carries Dr.Scientist and a bunch of nice guitar/amp brands, which is pretty cool. But...expensive. *nervously strokes blonde hair and tells himself everything will be fine*

I just realized that I follow this thread, but never posted my Squier VI...
New Pickguard, Staytrem Bridge, Fender Trem with Lock button, LaBella String set. The only thing I'm not 100% happy with right now are the knobs. Too much metal-on-metal look. But I have yet to find some good looking knobs in the right size that fit the whole thing. So many TWSS in that sentence...
