I just discovered that Target sells effects pedals. I also have a $30 Target gift card which is their average price for a pedal. I know it will be a piece of shit, but I'm excited to realize I have the possibility of a new effect. I'll probably just take it apart and make it my first attempt at modding/DIY.

I'm torn between a Behringer VD1 Distortion (seems like a generic-brand muff) and a Danelectro FAB Chorus. They also have a Behringer multi-effects processor, but I'd only want that for the pitch shifter, and all the reviews I've read say it's shit. I already have a tube screamer and a vintage-style silicon fuzz, and I use my flanger really kinda like a chorus, so I'm experiencing some serious indecision, but it's an exciting, guilt-free kind of indecision that I didn't have an hour ago.

i think i've finally got my pedalboard done for now. i've been buying boxes and moving them around on the PT Jr. since September, running things in different orders, and experimenting with the positions of certain boxes with weird jack placements. yesterday i drilled a backplate i ordered from Small Bear so i can use a 9V battery adapter and run my Distortion+ off the 1 Spot chain with everything else, and put two metal right-angle Hosa adapters into the line to use as patch points; one at the tremolo pedal to insert a volume pedal between the flanger and the tremolo, and one at the Distortion+ to insert filters and other effects between the overdrive and the clean boost. so now i don't have to do anything with the board other than plug in the power and the signal in/outs; all the extraneous cords and shit are velcroed out of the way. and i can get on with the fun knob-twiddling stuff.

I just remembered why I try not to get involved in sports, way too much anxiety, but we won!!! The Pack put the Bears' in their place, now it's on to The Fucking Super Bowl. Wisconsin is going to be insane for the next two weeks. It's a fun kind of insane though. Last time it happened, I was 8, but I still hate Troy Aikman.

In other news, potential band-made #4 and I are "jamming" tomorrow. I actually know him as a friend of a friend, so it should turn out well.

I posted recently about my band breaking up and being incredibly miserable.

Finally have a project going...very well, mind you....Our first show is this Friday. I'm incredibly stoked. I'm loving everything we're doing. It's a lot of fun.

We'll be in the studio Feb 11-13th.

my friend wired up my 6 sting bich, one volume/pull for reverse phase on both pups, two tones/one for each pup pull for coil splits, and he added a toggle to run the pups in series!

I have a cool new job in a cool new city, and today I found an apartment that is in my price range and within walking distance to work. And this cool new city is only ~2 hrs from the lady friend, as opposed to the ~10 it was before. Things are looking up.

AND MY CLONE THEORY CAME YESTERDAY but i didn't check the mail until like 9 last night. i love this thing. and the seller shipped it with a battery which is awesome because i couldn't find one/didn't have an adapter. i need to buy one, i have a feeling it rapes batteries.
