I put Bongripper on at work and left the building to count stuff somewhere else, leaving whoever was in the building to it's mercy, I was told by one person [the one who had asked my to put on something reallllly long] that it was causing discomfort and that that was awesome

When I got back my ipod had been paused, I do wonder how long it took but I thought best not to ask

Will I win a free pedal if I tell someone I shower in pedals. naked. ?
There's already a FuzzBoxGirl. Somehow I think there's less of a market for people seeing you hang a double pedal/patch cable bolo on your junk...

So tonight was the first time I ever used a DAW or midi anything.
I made dumbass ocean and seagull sounds with an 8-bit plugin. This is amazing.

went to the feed store in town to get food for the cats. the guy who owns the shop, who's a really nice fellow, was really pleased to see me doing better after the breakup and really enthused to hear my give-her-a-month-and-then strategy. he was very encouraging. sometimes one forgets that most of the world is actually composed of pleasant, decent, kind people who mean no harm and will actually help you if they can without extending themselves so much that they feel over-exposed.

it's really nice to know people from your town/neighbourhood, right?

especially if they're not self-centered fucks
girlfriend is still sometimes a bit emotionally unstable but it's getting better

The insurance-guy said that the damage in my basement was partly insured- and they are going to finance the repair company that drys out the basement...so yeah.. pretty good news.
AND VERY VITAL ADVICE TO ALL BASEMENT USERS: Always put the important stuff on the top rows of your shelves... because chances are higher that it will stay dry in case of floods that way.
