Hey, thanks guys! I have another video ep in mind already, using some of my pre-rendered drum tracks. Tempo-matching patch clips to mix with them.

The Karp is a module that loves distortion, and can be plugged directly into dirt pedals. The Trshmstr is a great module to run it through. The Roland FX are also great for modules like the Karp because you can make presets specifically for use with certain modules, for synth voices that you can easily recreate.
Funny thing, when I plug the Karp into the Great Destroyer, there is no effect on the sound. Regular distortion works great on it, but it needs to go through a filter first in order to be fuzzed by the destroyer for some reason. The original signal just won't work with it. I think it sounds best with distortion pedals anyway. Plug it into a multi-fx or a pedalboard and it becomes a way more powerful synth voice.

yeah. i spent last night just GIGGLING running BIA through H9 - > Big Sky - > KP3. tried a bunch of modules, everything seemed fine straight into pedals. woot!

damnit i want a Woggle. although, i'm starting to get my head around the Pulsar. it's.... it's GOOD.

i live the BitBox so much. it's a delight having all the drum sound sources i'm used to using on the conpooter ret to go in modular. or record down a quick bass loop or noises to drop in to loop to work against writing beats and shizz.

also, Andrew at Industo Electoro thinks he should have my bare enclosure on the way to Danno sharpish. yay!

fuck YESH Trigger Riot. love that thing.

also also, holy BUTTS there's a lot to learn with the Squarpamid and Shuttle Control. any one want to come over and do all the setup, get it rock solid, school me on the basics?

i will make COOKIES.

It's funny Muse, i actually watched your video yesterday after searching for some Monome videos since i'm considering going that route.

Warpsmasher, love the vocal choral sample going on during the 3rd track. Very cool!
The Monome stuff is VERY GOOD. High quality and obviously a high price but it's well worth it. I'm strongly considering the footswitch module and their Arc module for quad LFO's, and then I'll be able to shrink my setup even further.

Grid takes A LOT of time to get used to, but once you get it, it makes sense. I mainly use it in the Kria mode because Meadowphysics confuses the shit out of me. :picard:

Anyone build their own modules?

Any advice on where to start in building a basic modular rig to get into modular? I'm good with a soldering iron and I like DIY stuff and this seems like a fun way to get into modular.

Who offers good/affordable kits? - not sure if the two go together.

I guess I'd like to build (buy in this case) an enclosure, power supply and oscillator. I could use my other synths' filters.

Not really sure how affordable they are, but I know Synthrotek and Bastl offer DIY kits. I'm positive there are a ton more, but I don't know them off the top of my head

Also, you can get some PCBs and panels from Magpie Modular and Thonk is a great source for DIY kits if you don't mind buying from the UK. I've bought a few things from them and shipping wasn't too bad

Notable, modules that you should definitely get if you're going the DIY route:
Ornament and Crime
uBraids
Temps Utile
Radio Music
Turing Machine and all the expanders

What all is the Pulsar doing in that patch? I am confuse.

Sounds good, though. It sounds like you are angry or the system has become enraged.

they are becoming sentient and they DO. NOT. LIKE. WHAT. THEY. SEE.

the Pulsar is triggering the thin bass drum noise, the snare and the hats coming from the BitBox.

and one out is triggering the Transient while the Batumi switches through sounds/settings.

Pretty much spent the whole summer waiting on sequencers, fml. And I finally gave up on waiting for Audio Damage to firmware patch the ADM23 reverb, to my surprise I reached out to Control where I purchased it and they agreed to give a full refund! Made my day!

So I think with the money I might either get Clouds or give Pam's New Workout a spin vs my Temps Utile (probably wouldn't keep both, but maybe?)

Also saw r beny at Lusio (light art show) in Seattle, mind = blown. He was amazing.
