I'm not trying to imitate SOMA, just use him for inspiration. It's gonna be hard, REALLY HARD, to knock out either pedal from my OCD + Elements combo.......

So no lose for me.

It is pretty good but seems more focused upon making music in the old school way rather then the studio itself. Tape and actual musicians. Pretty cool and a nice showcase towards that method.

I really, really loved the history of the studio. Everyone seemed so genuine while gushing about the experience, obviously Dave Grohl in particular. He's such a fanboy, and it's so great.

You may have won the battle, but the war is far from over my friend.

Oh I have plans my friend ;) The war is over on-stage usable equipment, so a second keyboard rig that I couldn't play simultaneously wouldn't work. All though I'm sure that moog has some products that utilize your feet, which would allow me to play them while playing guitar therefore fitting into the rules of the war.

And come on, Nick still doesn't even have his own Amp.

I always like seeing the behind the scenes stuff with studio work. It gets me really excited for my future work. But I also like to see how things are done/made and all the little quirks that people put into their work. As I said in my other post though I felt the movie was more about how recording in general is shifting away from studios like that to digital studios at home and how that is taking something away from the music. It is now less about skilled musicians working together to create a piece of inspired art then someone using samples to cobble something together by themselves. But I feel the opposite can happen too now that the technology has shifted to allow more people access to tools they can use to create. It can allow for more artists to bloom so to speak. The biggest problem with that though is quality can suffer and that is why people are happy with the quality of mp3 that don't sound good in comparison to better media formats.

I feel like I'm 12 years old again playing Magic: The Gathering and I'm assembling my deck in prep for the final round of a tournament  I think for this round I'll go with a red / blue hybrid deck.... red for annhilating any creatures and and causing damage, blue to counter and mirror any spells the Wizard may cast.

Oh Skiiiiiiiiiiip

How about a Minitaur to put on your bass board with a midi foot controller to blast subsonic notes under your bass lines?
