I'm still a firm believer in bidding what you think the item is worth early (unless its already out of control, obviously) and then letting the chips fall.
If you get a bargain, bonus, if you miss out, then everyone is an idiot and everything is overpriced.
That's just me.
I gave up on sniping when the average prices on ebay started getting ridiculous.
WWPD?

I can understand that but I've still been able to get good deals with sniping. like the Ampeg SS140c that I bought just this year that didn't have a case for it... bought it for 30 bucks. that was with sniping cause I saw that the high bidder and some other twerp went back and forth a bit with bidding just enough to be high bidder till it was 24 bucks.
thanks for the tips
i was gettin confused with the sniping thing
my prob is
theres always someone willing to pay $1 more
i think for a while
i was bidding the deal i wanted to get
guess that means i didnt really want or need it
with the rg300 thats comin
i actually bid about $30 more than i wanted
but no lie here
i think i set the prices on the randall shit
cause the highest other bid was what ive payed on ebay
and what ive told everyone i buy em from that theyre worth
theres only one other one on ebay for $999
it started out at $1800
ha,and people are goin by my purchases
hope someone buys that thing though
ill be a rich man

I've scored some great bargain pedals on evil bay by being the only one bidding. I won't snipe something out from underneath someone at the last minute. I just think it's bad form. And I wont play the bidding war game. If someone wants something bad enough, then let them have it. It just wasn't meant to be.
