Yup. We'll see how it works out tho. Should also contain elements of prog, dnb and ambient. (when I say post, I think Isis/Rosetta)
It's a project I've been trying to make for 3 years now. Found the right drummer and guitarist/pianist, and another guitarist jumped in the equation, so now it's quite interesting

Can't wait!

Damn. I wish you lived in Boston. I want to do a project like this. Right now I'm writing a lot of stuff in the style of Isis/Cult of Luna/Thou/Salome, etc...

These next few shows are going to be the greatest.
Cymbals Eat Guitars tomorrow.
M83 in October. Boris with Asobi Seksu the day after.
Melt Banana a few days later.
This is going to be so fucking good. I haven't been to so many shows in this small a period before.

And so tiny, botched and gnarly sounding through a 3" Speaker that it's just plain bad ass.
I fear I may be addicted though...

I got a message from a drummer friend of mine that he and a guitarist are looking for a bassist to start a new band. Texture/noise stuff (think new This Will Destroy You), and they want to get together and jam in the next week or two!
I mentioned I was an effect user type he said "have you got some fuzz and some delay?" I am excite!

Just got back from Cymbals Eat Guitars in DC. It was so fucking good! My drivin' foot hurts!
I met Brian! He gave me a shirt! It was sweet! He's a cool dude!
Although tonight was the first time I'd heard any of the new songs, I really dug them. Of course the Why There Are Mountains songs KILLED. There was a huge noise/feedback section in there, a few minutes long that murdered my ears. It was glorious. I didn't blink until it was over and my contacts were uncomfortably stuck in place for a bit.
I also liked the opening bands, Beige and Hooray for Earth. There was some sweet synth action going on.
Trying to park at the Black Cat blows. We got lost walking back to the car, but amazingly you don't get mugged as soon as you step off the main roads. It's so unlike Church Street. Being in a "real" city is cool. It was an adventure.
There was another ILFer there, but I didn't really get your name. After the show I could barely hear anything so I kinda just winged it with the conversation that was going on

It might have been a little awkward.
