I've been lurking a couple years, actually, biding my time and learning about kickass pedals from the wizened ILFWizards. Finally got an actual board recently and took the time to put it together, so it seemed like time to join the fold. Nothing as crazy/rare/cool as a lot of the beauties that pop up in here, but it's more than capable of makin' some sweet, sweet noize.
This deserves to be on a new page. So much awesome.TundraSludge wrote:Hey, everybody! Another newbie here, popping his first time post cherry in the pedalboard thread. Are there any recordings of the Algal Bloom in LED mode?UglyCasanova wrote:

When I had a bass with noise issues the Heavy Machine really exaggerated the noise, like times 5. With my current quiet bass the Heavy Machine is a tiny bit noisy, but very minor.jwar wrote:So loving my board right now, but don't know what's going on with the motherfucker. The Grind Fuzz sounds like there's white noise coming from it when engaged (even with the volume way down) the Heavy Machine (which is connected to the Grind Fuzz) makes some weird ground sounds when engaged and not playing. Super annoying. I don't get it. I may have to take that fucking Heavy Machine apart and put a bunch of heat shrink in it. It's gotta be a bad ground somewhere. When everything is bypass, it sounds fine. Maybe a little tone loss because of how many fucking pedals, but other than that, pretty good.
It's weird because I had a feeling it may be coming from the Heavy Machine and the fact that I have a very, very active bass. I need to string up my Jazz and try it. Just been lazy. LOL. I've got some heat shrink on the way so I can kind of clean up my clean up of the Heavy Machine.Dark Barn wrote:When I had a bass with noise issues the Heavy Machine really exaggerated the noise, like times 5.
