Oh, the bad playing is my criticism...and my wife's haha. She actually says I've gotten "Tolerable" in the last few months which is awesome. Still playing the noise style stuff though. I'll get everything setup tonight and check my cords...then try to record on the 8-track. I am much better at that. Changing tempos...I think I do that constantly and not on purpose...but all I ever did in a band setting was play ring mod and, before that, yell at people (or chase them)...haha. Tomorrow...hopefully.
Be awesome to see a good clip though.

I guess it is breaking up with someone without saying so...just kind of fading away without returning phone calls and texts?
Don't know why that needs a name, but I guess it does...haha.

Cyber Psychic is way more pedal than the gomorrah, now stacking the gomorrah with the Octavella is pretty rad but still the cyber psychic is tough to beat.

Guess I should've said favorite. I think the gomorrah is an exceptional fuzz (one of my favorites of all time) and sometimes I find the cyber psychic hard to fit in. But yes, the cyber psychic is much deeper and more versitile than the gomorrah.

Man it's impossible for me to pick a favorite they are ALL so inspirational, it just depends on which ones I'm playing and then Those are my favorite

They all stack so well together
Here's to hoping we see some new models this year

So are you gonna get his reverb if that's a production model

Heck yea just cause I don't like a ton of digital reverb when play doesn't mean I can't ever use reverb

Yeah, you know I don't care at all for straight up reverb pedals either, but have been having fun exploiting it as a noise effect to good effect running it pre fuzz in infinite reverb settings and getting really great random harmonics that modulate. it's been a LONG time since I played with a Nanoverb, the shop I worked at carried Alesis gear, and playing around with the cb mods Nanoverb reminded me of how terrible reverb can sound when it's trying to work as a "natural" sounding effect...

but...cranking the feedback and using it as an effect in and of itself stacked with fuzz has really been fun. I am really interested to see how he approaches reverb, I can't imagine it being a straight up reverb pedal...there will probably be some cool modulation or fuzz incorporated fingers crossed. Maybe he'll have an expression jack for bringing on the noise with swells, I like the cadavernous for its momentary swell function but think it would be more useful to have expression/cv control over that parameter.

I am thinking it will probably use his "sens" control much like the ripplet, gomorrah, tone axxe, sandstorm, etc to either control swells or modulation. I think there will probably be a mix control too (so that attack levels can be kept up). I also think it will be closer the Roland Hall Echo on the DC-50 or other vintage flavor reverb...he will probably use some kind of MN-styled chip (like the cool audio remakes). There also might be some kind of oscillation tied in (which is probably for the modulation). I think Hiro will do something completely unique and fun that almost makes its own niche (much like the misty cave, which I love).
My problem with the boss, alesis, korg, digitech, etc reverbs that I have used, either pre or post dirt, is that it makes everything mushy. I like sharp, harsh sounds. When I want to long sustain and blending notes, I tend to like a different fuzz, not things like reverb or delay. I honestly use delay so sparingly, I probably do even need it (and I generally only use it for noise or to feedback while I think of something else to play) unless I am using tape delay which, to me, fills the nice void between delay and reverb. I don't know, I am probably weird in that respect.
When I had the DBA Reverberation machine, it just felt predictable and kinda boring plus I didn't like the way it sounded with any fuzz I had. It wasn't something that I would ever see myself using...I do like spring tanks, just haven't found the right one yet, and I would probably use it so little, it might not be worth it (and I find the reverb on the RE-201 Ok...but the reverb on the Beta Lead is ok too sometimes...). However, the DBA was good in a "noise" setting (not on guitar...used it reacting to distorted voices...so I guess I just think things have their places).
Now, if I ever learned to play surf or clean, I would probably love reverb...and I still wonder if something like RM-1n would be fun/change my mind. And reverb on a mix is a must.

Yeah I hope it's not another pt2399 brick reverb...I've got that covered with the reverb/reverberation machine...although if he approaches that chip like Rhys does it might be Interesting, oh yeah. An lfo of some sort would rock too and totally make sense coming from him.

I wouldn't think Hiro would go for a PT2399...it just isn't his style. He has always made stuck to the analog realm and the closest he ever got to the digital was the misty cave (which I assume is a MN3207 or something like that with the timer clock being digital I think). It may be something very close to the Misty Cave, just more full? I dunno. It will be awesome I am sure.
I want to hear the waveshaper though.

Yeah I think I've seen some people call the Beltin brick analogue even though it's three pt2399 chips. Dunno, just excited to see what he comes up with

I agree it makes sense that he would work in the analogu domain...are there any analogue reverb pedals besides spring reverb pedals, that I am assuming are considered analogue? I don't really pay attention to reverb pedals so I dont know what's out there already.

DOD FX45 Stereo Reverb is MN3011 chips. The Roland DC-50 has two MN3001s. Old stereos or something probably used something like those for reverb effects. I think our branding/naming of Echo/Reverb/Delay has become more specific than it used to be though.
Arion SRV-1 uses one MN3011 chip instead of two like DOD FX45.
