Oh, man.
Did you ever hear anything via paypal or an email or anything?
I've never ordered a shipment from there so I'm not sure how it goes.
I think he roasts on Tuesdays, and then likely ships it the next day.
So it very well could be due in any day now!

goroth wrote:I use a moka pot every day and enjoy it (obviously). As long as you grind a little coarser than for espresso, and don't expect it to taste like espresso it's great. You can make nice caffe americano buy diluting it with hot water. But it's really easy to burn the coffee with a moka.

But seriously, I love all types of coffee - the brewing method makes for so many different experiences.
Yeah, I'm not usually one to disparage brewing methods (other than perc), I mean one of my favorite methods is cowboy coffee, but I'd rather just have real espresso or drip. Not something kinda in between.

:oldrant:

I don't like Americanos either.

I got my coffee mill in today.
It's a knockoff, not the real deal (even though I ordered it through Amazon).
It didn't even come with some of the stuff it was supposed to have.
Amazon is shipping me a proper one overnight, which is nice.
Bummed I don't get to play with it today, but that's okay, I can be patient.
That is a bummer. I hope you get a real one as a replacement soon. :snax:

Perc is always worth disparaging!

Perc is only good is you wanna smell the coffee and not drink it.

Kinda like coffee incense.

Drip coffee - that's the way 90% of Sweden does it. Got two drip filters at home, one that does around 400ml of brew, the other that does around 1,5 L.

You can probably DIY one out of a 55 gallon oil drum.

That should make enough coffee for an army.

I was a barista for nearly 10 years, and I remain a proud coffee snob.

I'm all over the map when it comes to growing regions. Lately I've been enjoying a nice Tarrazu from Costa Rica.

As far as brewing methods, I've got most everything you could imagine at home but I mostly use either a Chemex or Clever dripper.

Rwanda Karenge is the bean of the week this week.
Never tried a bean from Rwanda, so this should be fun.

Yep. When I'm not using one of the moka pots I use a 2 cup Clever Dripper. Fantastic thing, but I'm only going to start using it more when I get a better grinder.
