Like the Cosmichorus V3, even after selling my V2 and Starlight Flanger I won't be able to afford the Dlx and the next version of the Cosmichorus. So I'm going to hang on to my Starlight for a while. I did just sell the Cosmichorus V2, but that was because I really needed the money. I'm happy with the Starlight Flanger for the moment. It's really a pretty little thing. Still, the DLX Quasar I have is more often on my board than the Starlight, so that says something about whether I prefer versatility and options over ease of use.

We are still working on it. It's definitely the biggest project we've ever taken on, and there were a lot of questions that couldn't easily be answered with out a lot of prototyping on actual printed PCB's. that process makes it take a while. Unlike the QDLX and PDLX where we worked out the analog portion of the circuit prior to doing most of the prototyping we had several rounds of PCBs made and eventually decided on the MN3007 BBD, a PLL based HF clock driver and a charge pump to run @15V off a 9V supply. Decisions were based off of chip availability, sound and convenience.
I had considered the MN3010 as well, but they are just too much of a pain in the ass to source for a production pedal.
Originally we wanted to use a low voltage BBD, but... well they all sounded like shit. A new round or prototype boards should be here this week and I'm pretty sure this will be the last one, but I didn't want to commit to a huge buy of giant PCBs unless it actually worked.
We have a tentative release date of Nov. 5. That assumes that nothing goes wrong between now and then though.

So much for my mental block of the DLX. I'd need a few months until release to successfully block it out.

Thanks for the update, brian, and good luck.

Take your time, I'm broke.

Prymaxe just posted a demo today, I've listened to it like 10 times. Want factor is increasing...

The Anemnesis sounds great in that demo. I must admit that it didn't really strike me as anything special beforehand, but that endless repetition thing and the way the repeats were so smooth, I was really into that. Too many pedals to buy, though.
Nov 5th is a day after I turn 24. Would be a nice present if I celebrated birthdays and if I had the money to buy one. There are a lot factors that disallow me access to flanger awesomeness.

some would say yes, but i really don't want to moan around the whole time but that is some really shit stuff that he plays. Man, i'm getting angry. The delay sounds great though.

Yeah, I mean, Mike Hermans is technically a sick guitar player - super fluid and all. But shit, I really don't dig Prymaxe's demos anymore from an um.. "enjoyment" perspective, it's like they're all... samish. A bit bland. Evan was great. But the production value with Mike is awesome, and he always does a "knob sweep" - and in that regard they're better than pretty much everyone out there, and that is largely due to Mike Hermans so I'm kinda caught between hanging out for his demos and not really being interested in them.
But man they are cranking out the demos, and they're getting waaaay more hits with Mike so props to them. Plenty of duders on ILF who make demos that are musically more gratifying.
Speaking of which,

OK maybe I'm a sucker but that Radiohead bit he played was awesome. I am definitely a sucker for phasers, and this one looks cool as fuck.
I wish there were a better demo out there of the new Liquid Sunshine because that sounds pretty cool too. As time goes on, Subdecay is becoming one of those builders who I can see having an entire board made up of their pedals.

Yeah, it was awesome, and there was an awful lot less blues lawyer going on in that demo. But I still stand by the technical gifted but musically vanilla statement.
