Will grab the Flyers game and watch it over the weekend. This has not been the best time to start following the Ducks on a game by game basis, though there's a Russian winger prospect that's supposed to be very very good.

Fuck you all for not carry the torch in this thread. I am disappoint.

If I were to take over in here we might as well call it the Flyer thread.

Oh and just to update,....The Flyers choked in the Winter Classic. Had a two nothing lead and FUCKING CHOKED.

I hate loosing to the Rangers and I hate loosing to them in such a Hyped up ass game as the WC. Sure could use some help on the D with the absence of Chris Pronger. I haven't watched tonight's game, but the almost choked again to the Wings on Thursday. This fucking team is going to be the death of me one day.

I've actually avoided posting in here, for fear that some weird karmic thing is going to come flying down from the sky and crush the Bruins. They've been unbelievably fun to watch the last 6 weeks or so. I don't really have too much more to say that won't sound like gloating. I am really happy that Rask has developed so fast, and slightly disappointed that Seguin has been treading water and not stepping forward too much, even though he does lead the team in goals.

Seeing as I've pretty much lost all interest in TB and the only thing I was really going back for was the NHL thread that I started, which I've even lost interest in that,....I figured it was time to dig this thread up and get at it here.

So yeah. Take that Talkbass.

I actually didn't catch last night's PHI@OTT game as I thought I had it downloading but I missed an "Okay" and needed to give the wife some husbandly attention,....so I'm going to catch it before I head into work.

I'm the opposite of bigchief in that the Ducks have just been horrendous. Lots of ugly early early goals given up and it would take a while before they shook that off, often when trailing 2-3 goals, then that'd either play out or they mount something resembling a comeback and ultimately fall short. Only Selanne and Koivu are playing near what they're capable of.

They fired Randy Carlyle, whom I'm pretty neutral about. I like the gruff no nonsense thing, wasn't fond of the line matching to death part and didn't always agree with his pairing/line combos. The alternative would've been blowing this team up, with Bobby Ryan likely to be gone first. Given those choices, coach gone would've been my choice as well. Except that there was no spark when Bruce Boudreau took over and it was more same old same old. Also the younger players are not stepping up and once Selanne and Koivu retire at the end of the season they'll have no second line to speak off and that's in addition to not having a third or fourth line. They will have plenty of cap space though they're going to need part of that for the year after if they want to sign Getzlaf, Perry and Fowler.

At this point I'd be ok with them just tanking the season and getting a top 3 pick so they can nab one of those stud 18 year olds, because they desperately need it. But I consider a season lost unless the Cup is won.

Edit: Did anyone catch 24/7? That show got some serious hype and for the first 2 episodes, didn't live up to it for me, but was decent enough that I'll watch the other 2 episodes sometime next weekend.

I can't really hate on the Rags,...now that they've waived Sean Avery. Still,...

Onto last nights game PHI@OTT,...way to snatch Defeat from the Jaws of Victory. Hard to fault Bryz when your his own teammates are scoring on him.

I watched all of them,....I didn't really care about nor notice a whole lot of hype. I enjoyed them. Not having seen the Caps and Pens 24/7 it seemed like they had a lot of storylines available to them and I thought Aids and B.O. did a good enough job. The inside look was nice and something I've never witnessed before. Tort's has got a fucking potty mouth.

Some of it did seem forced though, Lavy getting into it with Ott,....the Ranger's Ugly Sweeter Xmas party,....that sort of shit that they tried to make seem like it was tradition or normal,...but seemed more like it was more for the cameras.
