So...one down...many, many to go. hahahaha. Fuck. lol

I'm going to check the grounds before I go any further. Just to make sure it's not just a bad solder spot.

I have been meaning to futz with my Christine board. I had it boxed and had sound, it just wasn't as nasty as I imagined it to be. Figured
I'd put in a wrong resistor value somewhere. Haven't had anytime to build but want to get this one back up and running and fix my
Gristleizer, which has been missed! I recommend building the Gristileizer from Taylor. It's a complicated build but there's great docs and
it sounds amazing! DO IT!

Well I set Christine aside and picked up Taylor's Ugly Face pcb. It took me two days, lots of research, audio probing, asking questions...etc. But the FUCKER WORKS!!!! AHHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'm planning on etching the box soonish. Gotta make a cool graphic for it. Something ugly. Or someone ugly. heh

This thing is fucking nuts btw. Almost unusable nuts, but you can dial it in to get some crazy fuzz tones. I'm going to make a demo soon. So nuts.

I decided to put the knobs on the side and shit to go with the ugly theme.

Dude WAY more nuts. Who did your Ugly Face? Can you post a gut shot? Taylor did this board. I dunno what kind of changes he made to the circuit but it's nuts!

What made the build so hard?

It wasn't really a hard build. I just fucked up a couple time. Had a few face palm incidents there. Like wiring the jacks wrong or wiring the 9v wrong. It happens. I get excited and get in a hurry and don't pay attention. lol

Oh and I've never used an Optocoupler before, so that was weird to me. Had to figure out the proper orientation for the damn thing before I soldered it in.

Ben,

That looks a little different than mine but not much. It'd be interesting to see how different they sound. That pic is blurry but I can only see one resistor on that board. Can you get a better shot by chance? I wanna see if the board has any writing on it. I mean it doesn't really matter. Just interesting to see the same thing, yet different.

Oh and are you sure that doesn't say Super Freqdom? That's what it looks like to me.

There was a site for super freq. It was a DIY type blog and the guy was playing around with the more interesting circuits such as the
Uglyface. That one looks cool. What they selling for????
