A friend has a for-real '63 Icon w/some SUPER-bright steel rounds on it (dunno what strings they actually are)...played with a pick and thru his Orange TT Bass, it can get a nice tone. I wouldn't mind owning a vintage Club Bass someday, tbh...I think those are pretty.

That bass has a 14 year old set of IT jazz flats on it... Yeah I did like the SG at all I thought in terms of price ratio it is not $1000+ better then the $199 epi EB-O and in fact I think you could do a lot of damage with a one of those cheap epis with a good pickup... or get a lawsuit
