Yeah man! Carrier In can be used with anything! It's great! Not sure what your rig is like, but I've had sweet results from setting up a looping keyboard riff (simple chord changes, that kinda stuff) and using that in the carrier input and then playing the matching chords on my guitar through the regular input. Sounds sweet!
dude, you will love the Sunn Buzz. Its really mean sounding. its a little lacking on the low end but you can fix that with eq. After that its like laying down Sabbath riffs with an FZ-1. evil shit.
Buzz is awesome! One of these days I'm going to build a proper loop for it like Mahoney makes for his Bosstone. It's kinda a Si version of the FZ-1A -- but try a bigger output cap too, it really opens it up.

Out: Jacques Tube Blower MIJ Ibanez TS-10 BATW Pharoah + all my $. I literally have $2.02 more than I owe the taxman in six days.
OTW: Blackheart Killer Ant - fractional watt tube amp head & high quality clones of a Sonic Titan and a COT50.
The Killer Ant will be here tomorrow, got it on a decent sale - NIB w/ warranty - from a music store closing some out on ebay. Can't wait to have a good sounding wee little tube amp that I can play at conversation volume & late at night w/o bothering the neighborhood.

Got to play them against each other for a few minutes last night. Gonna have more time tomorrow or friday to really play them. Preliminary results are that I think I'm gonna keep the IC Muff. It really is what I always wanted to muff to be: a little less wooly, a little more crunchy, but still definitely a big muff. And the tone bypass is really crazy. It really cranks the volume and the mids, and makes it quite the snarly beast.
I didn't buy an old iPod. I bought an old Distortion+. I guess the guy got the labels mixed at the PO or something... I sure hope my Dist+ isn't on its way to Australia or somewhere ...
waiting for a used Solidgold fx buffer; this will complete the two-delay Frippertronics-style looping setup i've been building up with the Akai Head Rush, TC Flashback, A/B/Y switch, and Ernie Ball stereo volume/pan pedal. now i'll be able to assign the input signal to either delay, and cross-fade between them with the pedal. w00t!
