Got an EHX Germanium OD in a trade, I like it! Lots of interesting textures, and sensitive interaction between the bias and volt controls. If you crank the gain and keep the volt and bias at max it sounds like a regular distortion, which is pretty cool to have I guess, but the fun is in finding crackly, sputtery artifacts. So far, I think it sounds best pushing other dirt pedals or amp overdrive.

Run line level stuff through it. The dude that mixed our record put some of the snare hits through it for weird shit to mix in with the original signal. He said that was what he liked it best at.friendship wrote:Got an EHX Germanium OD in a trade, I like it! Lots of interesting textures, and sensitive interaction between the bias and volt controls. I thought about getting on the list for an Echoczar. I mean it's like a 3-5 year wait. I'd have tons of time to save up.

Has anyone here listened to the demos for the Echoczar? It's one of the most lush, amazing sounding delays I've heard.
I mean, I'd just be on a list. No money down or anything. Lots of wait, but it wouldn't matter, I'd be happy when I got it. I know that.
I'm plenty covered on delay too, I just like the thrill of something so difficult to purchase. Makes me all horny and stuff.
