Got to hear a VH140C in person over the weekend, side by side with a 5150..... FUCK... That combo is downright amazing. Totally want a vh140c now.....

No back story. I know it used to sit in the studio my old punk bands used to record at years ago before dude I got it from owned it or before I knew anything about amps. I'll hit up the dude who runs the studio and see if he knows.

It was nuts me and the singer were outside enjoying a hand rolled cigar and the guitarist was inside trying out different head combinations and when we went outside has gonna try a Mig100H with a 70's muff paired with the 5150. So a few minutes go by and and I'm hearing outside going damn he got that shit sounding SICK. Go inside and find out he swapped out the muff / sovtek for the VH140C and I was blown away. It seriously sounds as good as a full blown hi-gain tube head. With the 5150 being the high gain clarity and crunch and the VH140C being the girthy fuzzy filth it sounded amazing, and loud as piss.
