Just gonna drop this off here. Switched up a few things, got some new guitar speakers installed, got some new bass cabs, and really dug the way practice sounded tonight:
My side:
Sound City > Marshall 4x12 > Emperor 2x12 > Mini > Ric 480
Other side:
SVT > Orange 410's > TAFM > Ric 4001
YBA-3 > Ampeg 4x12 > Rat > Tele

What a glorious display of beautiful Rics and amplispeakertude
I feel so... quoted right now
How low are you guys seeing Mesa's go for? I could see picking up a spare trendy amp to use as trade bait if the value equaled out. Probably the only way I could afford one right now.

sweet fuckin set up man...i wish i had a practice space that i could load up like that!
the other night, went to a rehearsal studio and i used their bass amp, as I coulnt be bothered paying more for another guitar amp in the room...it was a peavey delta head with a peavey 2x15...fuck me that thing sounded awesome!
i had the eq set at 12 0'clock on everything and bright switch on...and it was better some tube guitar amps!

I need to get some clips. I've got some recording gear, just need to learn how to operate it properly and program drums better.
And yeah, the Mesa cab is built like a brick shit-house. There's a definite difference in punch/tooth to the tone compared to the same speakers in my Lopo Sig 4x12, which is itself not a bad sounding cab at all.
Hell just record some DROOOOONNNNNNNNEEEESSSS
Oh and my quick run through last night of mesa I'm seeing 600 at the cheapest. ;/

Goes Fender P or 78 Ibanez destroyer >Pitchblack> Fuzzrocious Demon w/ gate & blend > Bitquest > Meatsmoke pre (Ampeg SVP PRO backup) > Carvin DCM 2500 > Aguilar db810 & SWR Big Bertha 215 loaded with Faitals. It's been a blast collecting this shit.

Particularly if it's not a Triple or Dual Rec, there's usually guys who want to get a good return on their initial price and the ones who are getting sick of it collecting dust. Some perspective: Turner sold his Formula Pre +20/20 power amp, complete with Isis mojo, for like $550, i think. There's an F-100 out there right now in the online ether for $500. Can you even find a concert lead for that price if you're not whiskeyface? And holy shit, the F-100 is an amazing head and that's a disguistingly low price.
If anyone wants deets on that, by the way, let me know. Not my item (not even in my state) I just don't want poachers grabbing it out from underneath anyone who actually contributes.

We just finished recording recently. Sending it off to get mastered this week and putting it out soon! I'll post something when we get the masters tracks back!

Is that a V2 cab and have you used it on bass? I'm picking one up tomorrow and I'm curious as to whether or not it will need a speaker swap.
