I read on the Spiral Electric FX that they're made of foam. So, likely not strong enough.

I've seen blue beer bottle gaskets before (rather than the more common red/pink), but never purple.

Yea, I have a host of colors of the "not beer gaskets but..beer gasket" guitar-purpose-sold ones. Red, orangeish, black, mostly clear, white. No purple. I'd need a dozen sets but...PURPLE.
