1959 Gibsonette. Replaced a couple cracked resistors and capacitors, and it's roaring now. Pretty quiet 8-10 watts. Very little headroom. Want loud sparkling cleans? Look elsewhere. Want great tube crunch at reasonable volumes? Get it right here. 12AX7 Pre, 2 6V6 power tubes, and a 5Y3 rectifier. Controls consist of an on/off switch and a volume knob; simplicity itself.Let's see your AMP!

I always hope to find something like that, but it seems there's little chance of that these days.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
Though I am considerably less hairy than you, Psyre, you wookie, you, I did indeed have a happy dance moment. Sometimes your level of glee beats the crap out of your inhibitions. One small thing that's sad about it is the gibson amp logo that should be in those three holes on the front. They say that very few amps still have them and they're hell to find. They'll cost you your soul, too. I've already barely got enough soul for the blues as it is, so I think it will remain sadly barren right there. The tone and the history make this amp simply a spectacular find to me.
