Wouldn't setting both eq's flat and not trying to dial in the same sound be better for comparing overall voice?

I wouldn't mind hearing a similar A/B clip with this setup, actually.

worra wrote:Soy boy reporting in just to say that clip #2 obviously has more mid presence. I kinda hate the sound of both TBH, but more mids will obviously make your shit cut through the mix better. I still think this is a pretty dumb test. Comparing two pedals in one specific setting is like comparing two restaurants by only eating the french fries from both or something. Maybe one has shit fries, but has better overall quality on the rest of the menu. Whatever, shit analogy for a shit thread.
Well, if a restaurant can't do good fries, then they have a serious problem.

So many places do french fries wrong. Like they're good, but they could be better.
Basically, death to steak fries.

All great choices, but steak fries are and always will be the defacto worst fries available.

I heard that french fries in France are simply called fries, is that true?
I'm sorry =[

I kinda like steak fries  You can get waffle fries here because we have chick-fil-a now, just gotta tell them to hold the Jesus sauce.
I'd say a woefully underrepresented fry is the crinkle fry. So delicious when crispy.

fries in france are called fried apples. fo realz
Also, in a less buzzfeedy/poking thehive way of saying it, mr boss boy is right about the two pedals having some similar tones. disclaimer, I own none of the pedals involved in the conversation.

Yep. it's because potatoes are literally called "soil apples".
But don't confuse the amazing French fries (fried in oil) and the disgusting vile Belgian fries (cooked in beef grease, what the fuck?).
